Because this is the lowest rate we can provide, this should deserve a 0 star. We walked into this establishment with the expectation of having the best experience but how can we receive that when no one is there to great us at the door? After 10mins of standing, there was a couple that was at a table and said, "we were waiting for over 20mins and sat ourselves". So we did the same. Then after we got seated it took another 10mins before we seen anyone come out to give us a menu. And didn't even get our orders for drinks. So by this time it has been about 20-25mins we have been in the restaurant with no service. Then when we finally seen a server, she immediately went to the couples table that has been sitting there before we arrived (party of 5) and asked for their order of drinks. That's when I knew I had enough. So I asked our party politely if they would like to go somewhere else and it was unanimous to leave. It felt a little off as the ambience felt empty. There was a sign at door saying that last call for food times for lunch and dinner was set for an hour before closing. Dinner closed at 8.......it was 6:10 when we arrived. The sushi chef wasn't even at the bar. The bartender wasn't there either. For goodness sake, the waiter/waitress wasn't there. Idk if this is normal but according to the reviews, this doesn't happen. Maybe one day down the road we will try this place again. For now, this was pretty upsetting.

Food is very good, how ever service is awful, from the moment we walk in the young girl pointed to our chair with a finger and didn't say hello. Sad that they are not very welcoming.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but based on how highly highly this place was rated, I expected MUCH better. While the food was somewhat ok, the soda quality was awful, and the atmosphere was dark and dingy. Looked like a dilapidated old Arby's restaurant. I wouldn't go back.

I’m really not someone who typically leaves reviews, but I do use them as a gauge of recommendation when others leave them. This place is under rated; the prices are reasonable, sushi holds up in flavor but is not elaborately displayed, and the hibachi price is one of the most reasonable in all of Sarasota. The parking is always convenient which is another plus.If you want local food without the expensive price this is the place to go.

Quiet ambiance. Fried gyoza very good appetizer. Chicken Katsu with white rice, salad and soup were very appealing. Chicken Fried Rice was very tasty and plentiful.

Good sushi, the Sarasota roll was amazing, tuna was super fresh on the spicy tuna roll. Little run down, looked family run and the young daughter was helping but not attentive but very nice.

Kasa Sushi is a casual restaurant with excellent sushi and good service. I particularly enjoyed the chicken and shrimp dumpling soup. We ate there on our way to the Ringling on the Bay evening and will make it a regular stop as there are not many places in that area to eat at a very affordable price.

I love your food, especially the fried rice. My Mom and Dad think your sushi is the best and freshest in town and it's always consistently good. I love getting take-out because it's always still hot by the time I eat it at my house.

Overall decent meal! Placed 2 Uber eats orders. My Combo sushi with an eel roll was what went wrong. There were multiple small bones in the roll causing one to get stuck in my throat and is now irritated and feels like it’s still there! Would be hesitant to order again knowing it wasn’t just one but at least 4 in the small roll. I know this happens but, you ever choked on a fish bone

Super! My 8yo is a super picky eater and she loved Salmon Teriyaki bento box. Of course, mummy ate the sushi roll.
