This location is now Kacey's Seafood (and they also have locations at Fruitville Road and LongBoat Key). This is my first time at of their locations, and it was definitely one of the best seafood meals I have had in Sarasota. It is THE BEST order of Clam Strips I have ever had! And the portion was enormous. The basket came with hushpuppies, fries and coleslaw. I had to take half my lunch home...and it wound up as a yummy dinner, too. Nicest waitstaff, from the host, to the waitress, to the busboy and the owner/managers, I felt like I had the red carpet treatment. Looking forward to a return visit so I can try out their shrimp and other seafood dishes...if I can pull myself away from those incredibly good clam strips!!

Very excellent. Food excellent, fresh and delicious and waitress excellent. We had lobster tails, stuffed shrimp and lobster app with garlic butter and Swiss cheese and the spinach salad. Plus the sides were amazing. So I gave it a 5.As a food critic, I think it’s better than a 4 having eaten in must restaurants in Sarasota. Thank you.

This place is great. The outdoor atmosphere is so cute. And the food was so delicious, everyone in our party of 6 was pleased with their meal. Our server was very attentive, knew the menu and made great suggestions. We had a wonderful experience.

Excellent service and food! Twins lobster tails for $36 were delicious. The mussels in spicy red sauce were spectacular!

Wonderful dinner just minutes from our condo at Beach Castle. Maybe the best Fried Green Tomatoes I’ve ever had. We also got a nice bottle of Sanctuary wine. My entree was the Key West Shrimp and it was excellent as well. I also recommend our server, Gabriel. Very attentive and made the experience 5 stars. Reservations are a must.

First I have to brag about the service. It was very good. Attentive but not intrusive. I ordered the jumbo -shrimp, fried. It came with French fries and cole slaw. The shrimp had a very light breading and it was cooked to perfection. They were jumbo size as advertised. The coleslaw was crunchy, cold, and yummy! Unfortunately there were no substitutions so I stuck with the fries. I was hoping for a salad but they would have to charge full price. The fries were average. They were hot. The main complaint I had was the tarter sauce. It was not good. It was sour and it tasted like it came out of a to go packet. Other than that everything was good. I enjoyed a Merlot while waiting for the food.

I almost hate to write a great review because I may lose my seat at the table...ha-ha. This place was a delightful treat! Smiles when you walk in....friendly, knowledgeable wait staff. Interesting and diverse menu ( lots of lobster dishes"....of course, dahhhh, but there are meat and other seafood options available...with reasonable prices. The 5 Oz lobster tails were plump and erfectly prepared. Served with drawn butter, just like i like them. I tried the lobster platter with ribs, bang- bang shrimp and lobster...yum...They have an ample beer and wine list. Busy here ...so you may need to wait but worth it. They have limited hours of operation, limited outdoor seating...an older decorand clientele and plenty of "free" parking...a Solid 8!

I live in PA and wish we had a lobster restaurant like Lazy Lobster there. The service was incredible. It seemed like the food was served almost as soon as we ordered it. I had the lobster scargot which was phenomenal. I also loved the spinach salad with hot bacon dressing. The spicy jelly that came with the dinner rolls was a unique touch. My husband had the two lobster tails with a Greek salad. He enjoyed that as well. A special shoutout to our wonderful waitress Rosannah who was super-friendly and efficient as well. All in all it was a terrific dinner. The only downside is that my waistband would expand too much if I ate there too frequently. I highly recommend this place!

Maybe it's a FLA thing...sweet n sour sauce w bread for dunking?? Terrible. Anyways wanted local fish that's fresh. Only choice was grouper. (Folks the lobster is from Maine). Our grouper was encrusted w macadamia nuts. Sounded good but again the chef uses something sweet and it tasted weird. And the grouper was overcooked. Wanted to tell our server but she never came back to check on how our meals tasted.
