We went there with our family for a celebration. Great waterfront location. Food quality was excellent and the service was super. I had Oyster Rockefeller and seafood chowder. Outstanding ! My fist time here. I will go back. enjoy !

Beware: These guys will take your money whether the A/C works on the boat or not. These the sun enters the dining area (no shades) to make matters worse. We're told we must wait for the sun to go down before things "cool down". Good luck.

We had our wedding reception here in June and let me tell you, it was simply amazing! Our guests are still talking about the food and the beautiful views! We first visited in December for our tasting. Having never been here before, we did not know what to expect. The staff are all top notch from the hostess to our servers. Everyone answered all of our questions and took pride in the food and drinks they served. We chose the filet, blackened grouper and chicken parm which was absolutely phenomenal. We also sampled varies appetizers and wines with each bite getting better and better. We even came back the next day to just eat at the restaurant and we absolutely loved the coconut shrimp. Anne Camire was super helpful with planning our event and answered all of our questions! I could not imagine spending our wedding day anywhere else and look forward to endless revisits!

Went for my birthday ate on patio since dining room closed at 2 pm grouper was dry Asian slaw bland chowder thick lacking in clams. Childs burger also dry and cold. Asked for ice water several times. Never came. Server argued with us when we told him he brought the wrong nachos then grabbed plate off table and loudly emptied them in trash can directly behind our table. Awful experience and a hefty bill.

Celebrated our Dad's 80th Birthday and it was a great success. I live in the area and it has been quite some time since I had been to Marina Jack's. Everything was just perfect. We were upstairs in the Main Dining Room and our party of 12 were seated in a lovely room overlooking the bay. What a view! The food was delicious from the appetizers to the desserts. And the mixed drinks were yummy too. Our party all had different dishes and every single one of them was delicious. This is HUGE as Covid has sadly impacted so many businesses, but not this one! Our server Sergio was fantastic and always available to make our dinner such a pleasant one. Ryland his assistant was also great. Marina Jack's hit all the marks for me and my family. Price was definitely worth it. We look foward to coming back real soon!

Went for dinner with a party of 17. A wedding party rehearsal dinner The view from the upstairs dining room was spectacular. The waitstaff service was excellent. Friendly and efficient. Everyone was very pleased with the food. My wife and I both hade the braised short rib— it was fantastic as was the risotto. A bit pricey but worth every cent.

It was father’s day and we were looking for a place to have lunch and enjoy the water view of Sarasota Bay. Marina Jack hit the spot. Easy parking, food was delicious and the view was awesome. Add to your list to visit when in the area.

Wife and I were celebrating our 17th anniversary at Marina Jack. We had dinner in the main dining room on the 2nd floor. Our reservation was for 6:30 but we arrived 30 minutes early and they were able to accommodate us. We started by ordering drinks, my wife had a glass of Pino Grigio from the main menu. There is a Sommelier list (wine list) for a wider variety. I had the Saratoga Spring Water. Our server then took our order and while waiting on our food they brought rolls. They were sourdough I believe and they did taste good. We skipped appetizers but ordered a bowl of the Sherry Crab Bisque to share. The bisque was creamy as it should be with nice pieces of crab meat. We both enjoyed the bisque. For the main course my wife ordered the Crab encrusted Snapper with asparagus and Yukon potatoes as the sides. The crab was blue crab lumps and the snapper had a pina colada glaze with a mango salsa. My wife enjoyed everything but thought there needed to be more of the glaze. I ordered the 8oz Filet with a brandy and mushroom cream sauce. For sides I ordered the Yukon potatoes and the roasted Brussels sprouts. The filet did seem a little tough, but it was cooked medium rare as I had ordered. The sear may have been the problem or the steak knife because once cut, the meat tasted good and was tender as a filet should be. Scratched my head on this one. Wife thought I should return it, but I thought that wasn’t needed. For just being potatoes, the Yukons were very flavorful and I enjoyed them very much. The roasted Brussels sprouts were okay. The filet sauce was so-so on flavor. Not the best filet I’ve had and not the worst. Our server brought us a complimentary slice of Key Lime Pie with a candle to help celebrate our anniversary. The line was a little light in flavor. But, it was Thoughtful and wasn’t expected. The service was good. The dining room was clean. Unfortunately, it had rained so we didn’t get much sunshine. But on the whole it was still a nice evening. Note: As of this review the prices on the menu on the website are not updated to reflect the current prices.

Going to be a long one: Atmosphere was great which is why we chose it for our dinner that night. Happy to see they had live entertainment on the lower level. There were six of us. We were in the area for a family girls trip from Chicago and Las Vegas. Very surprised by other reviews based on the food alone. After waiting 10 minutes or more for our server to come to the table and introduce herself (I believe her name was Reggie) we finally got to order drinks as well as apps (not because she asked-she did not- but because we got the feeling things were going to take a long time). Here is some of the food we had: Calamari- decent, loved the sauce, but received cold. Crab and artichoke dip was good. Stuffed Lobster- rubbery overcooked. Potato Grouper- fishy taste which I never expected in Florida. I talked my sister into the Snapper because I said "there is no bad seafood in Florida" and she never orders fish. In Chicago it's hard to find good fish, so it's all I eat when I go to Florida. Ha! I learned I am wrong that night after many years and many trips to the state for family visits/vacations. Brussel sprouts- cold, hard, and not good. I ate one and left the rest. Rice was flavorless, but I was hungry so I salted. Snapper- fishy as well, but better than the Grouper. Yukon potatoes and Spinach were good. That's all I remember about the food. I wouldn't recommend wasting any money at this place. I've had better bar food. That said, SERVICE- Terrible... absolutely terrible. It's the reason I am wasting so much of my time even writing this review. We were ignored and treated poorly. My cousin did not have a drink her entire meal. There was a party of ten next to us and a party of two on the other side. The server asked both tables repeatedly how things were. She smiled and actually went to their table. Eating up the attention she was getting from the party. We had to flag her down essentially. She would start to walk away before we were even done saying what we needed. Not once did she ask how our meals were. Seriously! Anywhere else that food would have been sent back for being cold. I feared it would take an extra hour to have a new meal made. I understand being busy, but that's not what this was. As I sat watching all of this play out while eating cold and bland food the more disappointed and angry I became. Were we being judged? We were obviously being treated differently. I sat there thinking there is no way this lady deserves a tip. Is she assuming that we won't tip....and that's why she doesn't care about our table? I have no idea. What would give her that idea? The way we looked? Our Midwest accents? I am the oldest of our group so now I am in protect my little sister/cousins mode and extremely offended. I went up to speak to the manger when we were done and explained what occurred. I wasn't rude, but wanted to be. I wasn't demanding. I didn't ask for free food...we'd already paid. My sister and cousins (two of which are RN's constantly taking care of others.. one a military wife whose husband is sleeping armor every night in another country) all work very hard at home. They all have kids and families. They were on a much needed vacation. None of this known to her obviously. She had no idea what this time together and away meant to any of us. I do though. Hence this review. If she was "just having a bad day"...it only applied to us! She ruined our experience. It took the attention away from the table and put it on constantly wondering where she was, where our drinks were, how bad the food was especially for the price, and why we were being ignored. They deserved our server to just do her job. I did. We all do. It shouldn't matter what we have going on in our personal lives or if we look like the richest people in the room. DO. YOUR. JOB. The same for all customers. We all deserve it if we are paying you. I don't expect excessive butt kissing or a personal circus when I eat. I just want good warm food in a timely m

There are choices at Marina Jacks #1 Marina Jacks Dining Room. This is an upscale indoor dining room that overlooks the water and harbor. Reservations are recommended. They do have gluten free options. #2 Blue Sunshine Patio. Casual outdoor patio with pub menu type food. Note that most of this menu is NOT gluten free. Note that the FAR right patio is actually connected to the Deep Six Lounge AND If you sit in that area you can order from the blue sunshine patio menu or the dining room menu. This means that you can have nicer and/or gluten-free meal on the patio #3 Deep Six Lounge and Piano Bar. The indoor portion of this lounge is a very old-school feeling. When we were there, there was a piano player playing music that seemed catered to a 60+ year old crowd. Finally. I highly recommend the valet parking. I think it was something like one dollar to Park. Totally worth it!

We were visiting my cousins in Lakewood Ranch and they suggested this restaurant. We had a party of six and had a beautiful view from our table of the harbor. Our server, I wish I could remember her name. She was spectacular! The banter we had going back and forth was fun. She was efficient and simply wonderful. I had the salmon. It was PERFECT! Everyone enjoyed their food and we left very happy and satisfied. The server even took a group photo of us per our request. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had 3 dinners at Marina Jack - one to taste the food prior to my son's wedding, one rehearsal dinner, and of course, one wedding! Each time the food was delicious and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the crab cakes. Service was attentive and pleasant. Views of the water cannot be beat.

We went for Happy Hour on the patio, from 4-6pm. Several apps on offer for $7, plus a range of beers, wines, cocktails and shorts. We recommend highly the salmon sliders which come with fries and the rum runner cocktails were lovely. Luis, our server on both visits, was friendly, professional, with a ready smile. What a great way to spend a hot afternoon, watching the boats on the water with a beautiful breeze in such a gorgeous setting. A bargain meal as portions were big: thank you for some nice memories.

We were very pleased with this excursion. Lunch was very good: beans/cauliflower, chicken marsala, salmon, salad, and three desserts. The captain narrated the journey and pointed out celebrity homes and land marks. Very interesting and easy for us seniors to manage.
