Now I get why this place was so busy on a Tuesday night. ?We ordered both from the sushi menu and the Thai menu and both were very yummy! I especially loved the volcano roll and the shrimp summer rolls. The peanut dressing that came with them was very flavorful and delicious. Will definitely be back ??

5/5 crab rangoons5/5 basic avocado roll1/5 massaman curry- this was actually hard to eat and would have been tossed if I had another dish to eat for dinner. The sauce was thin and watery, the flavors were not cohesive or balanced at all. I’m very surprised because curries are usually boring at worst but this was unusual and tasted like a bunch of ingredients thrown together at my order. Makes me wonder if they ran out and rushed something together kind of situation.I’ll still give them a 2nd chance and see if this was a one off but disappointing first experience.

The food was ok but the server was very rude. she never explained any of the specials on the lunch menu. I only learned what the lunch menu came with after I had put my order in and a different server explained to the table next to me what the specials were and what options they came with. I'd have ordered something different if I knew what they had and the different choices that came with it. I'd suggest take out and pass on eating in at the restaurant.

Just got take out and everything is soooo good. Definitely will be back!! So fresh and the presentation (ESPECIALLY) for takeout is 10/10. So quick too

Wonderful atmosphere with kind and attentive service. Excellent portion size and great depth of flavor. The Thai Iced Tea is out of this world too! Wonderful place to go for dinner! The lunch specials are affordable and high quality. Lots of vegetarian options.

Really good krab Rangoon and loved the drunken noodles. Thai tea was delish and would recommend. Service was fast. The air conditioning seemed like it was set at 78, just a little warm in there.

Disappointing. Tiny portions. Thai Red Curry lunch special had about 4 or 5 very small strips of beef, and a handful of chopped vegetables. For the price you should be getting an entire white pail of rice and an entire pail of curry, not a few bites wrapped in aluminum foil.

Staff is very friendly and the food has never disappointed me. Their soups ate delicious. My favorite roll is the sexy man roll. It's super tasty.

I recently had a takeout experience at Nori Japanese and Thai on Clark Rd in Sarasota, and I must say it left me with mixed feelings. While there were certain aspects of the meal that I enjoyed, there were also elements that left me disappointed.Upon receiving my order, the first thing that caught my attention was the sushi. Unfortunately, the initial impression was not a positive one. The fish used for the sushi did not look or smell fresh; all three types of fish had a slimy texture that immediately raised concerns about their quality. Despite the short time it took for me to get from the restaurant to my eating location, the condition of the fish was off-putting and gave me reservations about its freshness. On a more positive note, the Bento Box that I ordered did offer some variety, and there were components of the meal that I found enjoyable. The California roll was a highlight, with its pleasing combination of flavors and textures. Additionally, the Chicken Teriyaki and rice were well-prepared and satisfying. These components of the meal were certainly redeeming factors that showcased the potential for quality dishes at Nori Japanese and Thai. The service and the ease of the takeout experience were also commendable. The staff was friendly and efficient, ensuring that my order was ready in a timely manner and that I encountered no issues during the process. However, it was the quality of the sushi that ultimately shaped my overall impression of the meal. The unappealing condition of the fish detracted from what could have been a more positive dining experience. As someone who values the freshness and quality of ingredients, the disappointment I felt in this aspect makes it unlikely that I will return to Nori Japanese and Thai specifically for sushi. In conclusion, my experience at Nori Japanese and Thai on Clark Rd in Sarasota left me with mixed feelings. While there were elements of the meal that I enjoyed, such as the Chicken Teriyaki, California roll, and rice, the condition of the fish used for the sushi was a significant drawback. The slimy texture and lack of freshness detracted from what could have been a more satisfying meal. The service and takeout process were positives, but the subpar quality of the sushi is likely to prevent me from returning for sushi in the future.
