Origin is one of the four cornerstone places to visit on Hillview in Sarasota. Origin has a few locations locally, this location is the best. The restaurant has an extensive beer selection and a simple, yet well put together wine list. No liquor. Now the food, great wings and pizza. I'm from NY, great wings and pizza. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. Personal thanks to Ally, Rachael, Tara, Jenica and Jackie. Great staff, Great food, Great Service. Trust me! Get a dessert to go.

Our friends that live in Sarasota recommended this pizza place as the best in town. We went to the original location and had awesome service and great pizza. The pizzas were so big we ended up having an unplanned feast! Everyone loved the crust and flavors. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Highly recommended for this location especially!

This place needs a little help in the kitchen. The wings were drowned in butter and the pizza was super soggy. The pizza crust couldn't handle just cheese on it.
Wings are amazing..they do them right! The pizza is also spot on! Service was great and cozy location!

Best Pizza of My Entire Life! I don't say this lightly. I am an older guy, who has had the joyful opportunity to travel and live in many faraway lands. On an overcast chilly day in Sarasota, we walked into Origin Craft Pizza for lunch, and we were much pleased by the homey atmosphere. There were a handful of guys and couples at the bar, and a few small tables in the main room, and also a few somewhat larger tables in the side room. The waitress was welcoming and friendly, and the menu was surprisingly diverse for a small pizza place. I took a chance on a za'atar pizza with feta, green olives, and black olives, and what emerged from the kitchen was literally the best pizza I have ever tasted! I have had many good pizzas in my life, but this was a subtle masterpiece of thoughtfully combined tastes. We also had an "origin salad," which was a surprisingly delicious mix of warm vegetables topped with a small slab of a toasted salty cheese (maybe feta or halloumi). Once again, unusual for an American pizza restaurant, and so delicious. Bravo!Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie optionsDietary restrictions: We also tried a gluten-free crust on another pizza and it was quite good too.
