Very nice place with a view of the water. The restaurant is very large and the service was fast. The food was very average, the shrimp in coconut were from a supermarket bag. I definitely wouldn't return to eat.

Really good restaurant. We will be back. On the river with boat docks. Advice, don't get pasta at an oyster bar.

Lisa was our waitress and aside from taking our order and dropping off a coors she never showed herself. Another person dropped the food off and I had to ask for second coors at the bar and asked for ticket to pay meal at the front door. The manager heard what happened and offered to cover our meals until he heard we already ate. Lol you almost customer serviced. Try harder next time. Then offered us a future free meal without giving us a card or anything so I know good and well thats not happening. I tried here 14 years ago and it'll be at least that long before I try again.

After nearly a decade of living in Sarasota, my wife and I finally decided to check out Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar, and boy, were we pleasantly surprised! Despite our initial reservations that it might be a bit tourist trap- like, we were delighted to discover that it exuded a distinctly local vibe that instantly put us at ease. One of the first things that struck us was the charming scenery. Being able to stroll out onto the dock and soak in the picturesque surroundings was a highlight of our visit. And for those with small watercraft, the option to pull right up to the dock and tie off added an extra layer of convenience and accessibility. Now, let's talk drinks. While we found the drinks to be a bit lackluster in terms of potency, the taste was still enjoyable. However, it was evident that they were either watered down or lacking in alcohol content. Despite this minor setback, we were determined not to let it dampen our spirits. When it came time to order food, we opted for the "Mariner's Fry Boat," and boy, oh boy, did it exceed our expectations! This mammoth feast was more than enough to satisfy the appetites of two hungry diners, and at just over $100, it represented excellent value for money. The boatload of perfectly fried seafood, including two juicy lobster tails, nestled atop a bed of fries, was a sight to behold. And let's not forget the delightful addition of Caribbean slaw, which provided a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors of the seafood.Needless to say, we left Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar with full bellies and smiles on our faces. And thanks to the generous portions, we even had plenty of leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day!Overall, our experience at Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar was nothing short of delightful. Despite the mediocre drinks, the delicious food, charming ambiance, and friendly service more than made up for it. We'll definitely be returning for another visit in the near future. Cheers to good times and great seafood!Parking: Lots of spots, all over, some on dirt, but we didn’t have any difficulties.Kid-friendliness: There were lots of kids around. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to those with kids.

This place used to be one of my favorites when I was little, but since covid or whatever it has gone down hill fast and in a hurry.. the food was leaving much to be desired. I ordered a burger and it had some kind of picked onions on it and the juices were all over the bun and burger which just ruined the whole things I ordered sauteed onions and mushrooms and got green onions... Drinks were ok...

Gator bites were really chewy and and could use more flavor. The coconut shrimp was delicious and big pieces or shrimp [not just breading].

This place was awesome! Food was excellent and service was good. You can sit right on the water which is nice. We had the seafood stuffed oysters, seafood stuffed shrimp, and fried seafood platter (they let us have a few of the items blackened instead of fried). All the food was excellent! The best seafood stuffing I have ever had. Best meal of our trip.

We had the Crab au Gratin, fried Calamari and steamed oysters. The Calamari was excellent, the oysters were very good, but the au gratin was not as good as we hoped or expected. The server was very nice. The atmosphere is always very good,so we will go back.Wheelchair accessibility: Only a couple of tables where you can remove the chairs. Most tables have benches.

Always a stop for us when in Sarasota. Great atmosphere and food, and a lot of nostalgia personally. My favorites are the raw clams/ oysters and blackened grouper.
