We love this place! Have been several times and also order takeout. Food is wonderful and cozy atmosphere, too. We had Bridget as a server the last 2 times and she is the best!

We eat here once a wek or at least try to. Before we would eat in the dinning room but decided to eat at the bar one day. What a treat. You get to watch the beautiful pizzas being made and can actually smell them as they cook in under 5 mins. I try very hard to order something different since we like their menu and food but I get stuck at the pizza. Just tell them what you want on it. They will do it. My husband doesn't eat cheese and they have never put it on his pizza. That is knowing your customer. Thanks Primo.

Was vising Sarasota (from NJ) and found this place nearby for lunch with my family. We were very hungry and thankfully the food was delicious. The man that greeted us (maybe manager?) was polite and friendly. We asked for outdoor seating and it was granted. We also asked if our small dog could join us outside and our wish was granted. The server was attentive and amplified our experience to the maximum. Highly recommend this place.

The Sicilian menu offerings different than your typical Italian. Had a dish labeled Sofia Loren - crabmeat, asparagus, sundried tomates in a cream sauce over capellini ( the sundried tomatoes were a bit too chewy) ….. but I finished my entire entree and I rarely do that. Our server, William, was excellent - very personable.

We found this jewel while looking around for a restaurant. And we are so happy! Excellent food! A truly Italian place not a wanna be. Tired of chain restaurants with lot of msg and reduced menu, Primo is authentic and hand made style. Since now, we are going here to eat, plenty of menu options. I am glad they serve authentic antipasto. I attach pic of it and hand made cakes. By the way, the place is very nice also. Prices are much better. We ate more that in any of the 3 main chain restaurants around and we spent less.

We found this little unassuming restaurant in Sarasota. The minute you walk in you feel like family. We ended up eating there a few times during our stay. Everything from drinks to dessert was wonderful. Definitely our go to when we are in the area.

Amazing! Perfect meal after the Bahi Hut. The bartender said it was great and it was beyond awesome! So delicious

Bravo!!! First visit to the restaurant. Our initial impression is that it is the Italian version of a Wisconsin Supperclub. Our server was knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. We ordered a pizza and a seafood pasta dish-and both were delicious. The pasta had so much seafood that it would be hard to get a bite, without seafood. As an added bonus, the bread on the table was delightful and both our meals were served with a salad. We look forward to a return visit.

This is a 2.5 star review. Wanted to like it more. Definitely a cute place, nice people and reasonable prices. Started with calamari and shrimp, then house salads. The entrées came out fairly quickly. The spaghetti and meatball plate is smaller than other places. Good, though. Her lasagna came out cold inside, almost frozen. It took too long to bring it back to our table from the kitchen and there was no offer to make it better...they just heated up the plate. I was done eating way before the lasagna came back out and it just put a damper on the meal. We'd planned for dessert but we just took the lasagna to go and left. There are just too many other places so I can't say we'll come back again.

This is an Italian gem in Bradenton/Sarasota area. Starting with their bread and delicious olive oil dip. Then the delightful salad with house made dressing that's also available for purchase. And the star is the Cod Positano over a bed a spaghetti. The cod has an amazing Pinot butter sauce with grilled zucchini and shrimp. It's so tasty. Great service, food and ambiance.

Been here many times over the years and it's a hit or miss. Yes the covid did do some damage to the restaurant business (s) and all but this goes before that. The food is nothing special, the service is hit and miss, the atmosphere is nice but I rather visit another Italian restaurant, that starts with a "C".. I know and understand there are many types of Italian style food as there are different types of dialects of the Italian language. This isn't great Italian food.. some times the food come out over cooked, under cooked, too much oil, dry, over flavored, under flavored, he'll, one time there was a half cooked (cold) chicken on too of my pasta. I'm not sure who is the cook(s) but they definitely need to learn how to cook and use measurements. Very inconsistent. And the service isn't always the best either. Years ago (maybe 5) or so this place was much better, but recently blah, nothing special. Been seeing restaurants closing all over town, wouldn't be surprised to see this place go too.

Staff is incredibly friendly, the food is great and priced fairly. In an age where customer service is a rarity, this place does a great job. The meatballs are amazing!! 10/10, would visit again.
