We are locals and have come to Sophies about twice a year and have always been more than satisfied On this visit the staff were incredible but the the shrimp salad was dry and lacked enough dressing and flavor The burger even tho we did not get the bacon jam was so greasy that it was almost un edible as were the truffle fries that even tasted as if they had bacon in the oil Anyway staff made the lunch tolerable but will most likely not return
Fabulous as always! We had a perfect quiet table (as I requested they accommodate if possible) and impeccable service by everyone, especially Mike. Everything was delicious and the special sous vide duck breast sandwich was amazing! Thank you for having such a special little place.
Disappointed
Sophies is always my go to place for great food, excellent service and beautiful ambience. It's never full of loud music, hallelujah.... So calm and wonderful for visiting. Our waiter even went so far as to come find us shopping after lunch to return a credit card that we left on the table! Love them!

Salads were just a bag of lettuce with a few add ons. Salmon salad was extremely small portion for $31 dollars. Wedge salad was mainly large chunk of iceberg lettuce with also very meager toppings. Very disappointing.

Our lunch at Sophie's was wonderful! I ambience is great, the menu has a nice selection of salads and hand helds and our service was great. We were able to take our time and talk and had a very enjoyable lunch! I would highly recommend Sophie's to a friend.

The classiest and most luxurious place for lunch in Sarasota. Staff are outstanding, service is impeccable and food and cocktails are second to none. A well kept secret amongst a deserving upscale clientele. I'm now a regular and plan on many more wonderful visits.

We were mostdelighted by the great decor....at first, then our lovely waitress appeared and was very attentive throughout the meal which amazingly the best Burger upgraded mind you compared to most, the meat was delicious and the truffle oil fries divine...I forgot to mention the bread basket filled with focaccia etc... Will happily return...

The food is so memorable true authentic Italian homemade sauces imported ingredients. Voila ! Even if it's French it applies huge portions served perfect temperature. Great atmosphere intimate dining with warm fuzzies of a family meal.The chef came out a few times to check on us to make sure things tasted perfectly even recommended a wine to accompany my entrée. Just a very special eveningAbsolutely I've been thinking when I can get back to try more dishes

Sophie's reminds me of forgotten department store shopping days with a sophisticated ladies lunch included from days gone by . . . and the gentlemen working at Sophie's offer "above and beyond service" with their immediate attention to the table, outstanding service and personality plus. Our waiter, Mike, was exceptionally entertaining, humorous and a real nice addition to the experience! Keep up the good work!

Great place for lunch. Nice menu options and food well prepared. Not a large place so reservations helpful. Also gluten friendly. We love it there. Nice and quiet and away from busy noisy restaurants.
