We were a party of 12 and probably not the most decisive group. The owner was actually who waited on us and he was amazing! The food was delicious, and we had meals from across the menu. The prices were exactly what we expected but the portions were great. If you are in the Sarasota area and want good local food that beats any seafood place here is your sign!!!!!!! The Crab boils, the wings, the cheeseburgers, the fried ocre, and the salad was perfect. Thank you for the great food and the wonderful service, you definitely will be seeing us when we are in the area.

A laid back atmosphere coupled with outdoor seating and television for your entertainment. The experience was the south from the beginning to the end. The seafood boil was extraordinary. I am still licking my fingers from yesterday. I have traveled throughout the South and here this place lies outdoing any seafood boil I have had from the Carolinas to the State of Colorado. It was a pleasure to eat at this establishment. The food permeated authenticity, care and downright delicious. This is it stop by!

We went because the reviews were so positive. We are on vacation, so I ordered lobster and king crab for lunch. My husband ordered steamed shrimp. The lobster was chewy and hard to get out of the shell (stuck to the shell). The small cluster of king crab was over cooked and the meat was mushy. We were given plastic utensils, which were no help getting the meat from the lobster or the crab. The potato was over cooked also and kept breaking into small wet clumps. My husband said that his shrimp were really good. We both had coleslaw which were good but very small portions. But, we left hungry and ate dinner early that night somewhere else.

The atmosphere is amazing for a neighborhood food dive. It's one of those diamonds in the ruff, so I thought. The service could have been better. He was pleasant but called you to pick up your food instead of bring it to your table. The customer service from the owner sucked, very disappointing, because customer service is everything. I now see why this place isn't packed. The garlic butter is decent. I can make better, being an ex crab cooker, but I enjoyed it on my potatoes. I had so much hope on the ride over and really wish I had been treated better because I love to support my people.

Great energy and vibe at this establishment! Ordered at window and one of the employees saw that I had my dog in my vehicle. They encouraged me to bring dog out to their outdoor area while waiting on my food to which I did. Walked my pup around for a few minutes until my order was ready. The food was amazing! I got the cheeseburger and home fries with seasoning! Will definitely be coming back!

I would agree that this is a secret gem in Sarasota.We tried Stroke’s last night. Called and ordered (four dishes) & our order was ready on arrival (less than 15 minutes). It was our first time trying a Southern style seafood boil. We ordered two of the snow crab and two lobsters. Each order of snow crab came with 1/2 the crab and each order of lobster came with the tail. They also include potatoes (one of our favourites in the dish) corn, egg, and sausage. The sauce it was cooked in was a delicious spice-filled sauce. No photos because we dove right into our meals!The man working was very friendly, great service, and very efficient. The setup to eat outside was cute & well setup, even though we pre-decided to takeout and eat at our rental.
