Our food was delicious and the service Anna provided was impeccable. Capital Grille is our favorite place to celebrate special occasions. This time, it was my husband's 85th birthday so we both ordered the lobster tails, which were offered as one of the specials. Since this was a celebration, I didn't ask the server the price. I must admit that i was a bit taken aback when the bill came and I saw that the lobster was $340. At that price point, I do think they could have included at least one side. Our total bill before the tip was $447. It would be helpful for the servers to state the cost when they explain the specials.

Service is always wonderful here. We usually find no issues with food. Crab cake appetizer had really strong seafood odor and tasted bland. South African Lobster also fell flat with little flavor and felt slightly undercooked. Sliced Filet with mushrooms, onions and fig essence was ok but not impressive. For the price of the meal, we underwhelmed for the very first time.

We were there as a party of six to celebrate my wife's birthday and on the very last day of the Taste of UTC. Let's start with the outstanding service we received from our server, Jesus. He provided the perfect amount of attention so that all our needs -- and wants -- were met during our dining experience. My wife had the Sea Bass and she declared it the best she has ever had at any restaurant. High Praise, indeed. I shared the Porcini Rubbed Bone-in Ribeye with one of my friends and it was -- as always -- a great choice. We shared a couple of shrimp cocktails, and they were perfectly sized and prepared and the sauce was just the right amount of spicy. The men opened the night enjoying Capital Grille's signature cocktail, The In Fashion. Well done! The ladies shared a bottle of The Auctioneer Cabernet from Napa. A fine choice recommended by Jesus. I had brought a special bottle for the celebration and Jesus graciously waived the corkage fee for us. A VERY nice touch. Finally, despite some of the entre sharing we had done, Jesus provided us each with mini cheesecakes to go. This was one of those marvelous experiences that cause us to ponder -- "Why don't we dine at Capital Grille more often?"

Food was fantastic. Taste of UTC was an amazing deal for limited time. Very good 8oz filet cooked just right. Sal, bartending and serving tables in the bar , is great!! We'll be back to do it all over again.

An unexpected disappointment this evening. Hosted a business dinner for nine folks at 6:30pm. Our dinner did not arrive till approximately 8:45pm. Our server Adam was very apologetic and also very good throughout the evening. He did bring a bottle of wine and some desserts as an offering for the late delivery of our meal. The steaks were adequate, but not up to the level you would expect from the Capital Grille. Maybe simply off night. Not a dealbreaker, however, and we will be back. Thank you, Adam for your service tonight.

Great date night out. The steaks were a little overdone but everything was delicious and can’t wait to go again. Our server was super friendly and attentive to our needs.
A perfect night for the taste of UTC restaurant specials at CG. We sat on the front porch with a cool breeze accompanied by great service, friends and food!!! The Tomahawk lamb chop was spectacular. Great wine choices and drinks too. One of our favorite spots for sure.

Food was tasty. However, our steak had no flavor, which was odd for 52. I enjoyed the sesame salmon salad and a few cocktails. The leaves and fruit of the salad were very fresh. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was just ok. Again, the taste/seasoning was not there. Fresh ingredients, just bland. We enjoyed our meal, and we hope the quality isn't changing.Noah is an excellent bartender! He finished our meal with a glass of champagne! My wife Diane and I had an exceptional experience at UTC - seated on time, food served hot, quality items and soft jazz background music in an old school supper club vibe. The star of the show however was our server Sean. He was polite, efficient and we were served courses without feeling rushed. He even made time for small talk. We enjoyed his banter and his sincere style of work. We are from Wisconsin and he is from Chicago, but we STILL would request him as our server!

We enjoyed the Taste of Sarasota menu. The food was delicious. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and very tender. Our server was excellent. Overall a very pleasant dining experience

As a high end steakhouse they should know how to cook a medium rare steak. First steak, after a long wait (45 minutes after ordering), came well done. Perhaps it stayed cooking under heat lamp after it was overcooked. The replacement steak came medium (no pink). Shameful way to ruin a $60 steak.

Wife and I stopped in for lunch. I'm very aware this is a "higher end" place but their lunch special was very reasonably priced. I had the Cesare Salad, which was perfect, and the Steak Frites. The steak had a Chimmichuri sauce and was cooked to perfection. I wish I could accurately describe the flavor, but wow that sauce was good!! Their Rosemary Fries were excellent. Highly recommend it. Oh, and Sean, the waiter was awesome too.Not much left in the pic cause I was hungry!!!!
