We started with a Thai tea, edamame, and chicken gyoza dumplings. The Thai tea missed the mark by just tasting like cotton candy. The edamame and dumplings were good. When it came time for the sushi is where there were issues. There was only one sushi chef so it took awhile. 25 minutes after we finished appetizers the server came by and told us they were out of eel (one of our rolls) and if we wanted to substitute. We chose crab. 20 minutes later our sushi came. One of our rolls was correct but the breading and rice was very very heavy and just took all the flavor away. The other two rolls we got were completely wrong. They both were missing avocado and one was missing asparagus. We brought this up to the manager who talked to the sushi chef who said they were out of asparagus, that doesn't help with the avocado missing though? All in all, they only gave us $5 off the total bill, so we paid $15 for one roll that was just crab and cream cheese deep fried due to missing everything. Although they were sorry, at minimum we expected to at least have a discount equivalent to the amount of food we were missing. Not only $5. If we knew they were out of all of those things, we would've left and not had the sushi. But it wasn't expressed until after they placed the rolls in front of us and we mentioned they were missing stuff.

Today, I was looking for what was looking for me and I had the greatest pleasure of finding this restaurant. I ordered the Twin Lover's Roll and Salmon over Rice. The Salmon over rice was delicious, the salmon was cool over the warm rice The server was delightful, we cracked a few jokes back and forth which made the lunch even more pleasant.NOW, THE TWIN LOVERS ROLL.The chef really outdid themselves with this. It was served on a humongous plate with decorations of spicy mayo. The Sushi rolls were neatly stacked into.a pyramid topped with shredded crab and panko. Everything about this plate was astounding. 5/5 overall experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

Same address, still Sushi, but with a new name, Humay Sushi, new owners, and the addition of Peruvian dishes. I hope TripAdvisor can figure this out, soon. Probably one of the most underrated places in Sarasota right now. It doesn’t look like much, and for some inexplicable reason, people flock to another Sushi place nearby while this restaurant remains empty. Which is so unfair because the Sushi here is excellent. The fish is fresh, the Sushi is lovingly prepared, and it tastes really good (unlike in some other Sushi restaurants in the area - we tried…). If you like good fresh Sushi, you should definitely try this place out.

The BEST sushi place in Sarasota, they have the best Lobster tail sushi! You have to try it if you go! It’s a must!!!!!!! We’ve tried 8 other different lobster tail sushi rolls at other places and nothing compares! You won’t be disappointed, we drive out here for almost 1.5 hrs just to eat their sushi. LOVE it! So does my husband, it’s a family owned place and the owners are so nice. Give it a try!

The dishes were amazing, and I would totally come again. The costumer service was also great! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Definitely a good price for such delicious food, and I would recommend this place to anyone willing to try different types of sushi, or just enjoy some asian food.
