After some time of waiting for the Eagles Nest to reopen finally we got to go back. Unfortunately to a disappointing experience. The grits were horrible the corn-beef hash was salty and had the texture of saw dust.. our average tab in the old eagles was roughly $45-55...after horrible food we got hit with the new prices... $74! This place in not worth the time our the money if I could give this place a negative star I would!

My husband and I looked up the menu before we went, lunch started at 11 and sounded decent. We arrived at 11:55 and were handed breakfast menus, asked about lunch, she said another 15 minutes or so. We waited, got lunch menus and ordered the kettle chips with house dip. No dip received and apparently no one knew what it was. I ordered the early dine 3 course meal, Caesar salad, which stated croutons and Parmesan, only came with lettuce and dressing. Onto the main course, my husband ordered the mushroom burger which was supposed to have fries and coleslaw... no slaw. I ordered stuffed shrimp with broccoli and fries... then I was supposed to get a dessert(it was a 3 course meal after all) I guess my dessert was the bill. That's not even the worse part, our total was $36.53... we left a $5 tip but I guess the waitress decided since we weren't from there she could change the tip to $50. $86.53 is what we were charged for this lousy service and food. Don't remember her name but she had a Boston accent.

Waited almost a year to try their well touted prime rib dinner and was absolutely disappointed . Friday at 6:00 and only one waitress.the poor girl was running all over trying to get everyone served. Meal was cold, and my extra large cut of prime rib was in fact smaller than my wife's regular cut. Brought it to the attention of the waitress, she asked the kitchen about it, reply was that it was the right cut because they weigh the cut! !! Think they should have scale checked for accuracy. Very disappointing

Came in today at noon. We were told to sit anywhere. No one came to our table for fifteen minutes. Another couple came in sat down and went to get menus so we did too. Another 15 minutes and the waitress came and we ordered two unsweetened ice teas. It's 12:30 now. She came to take our order at 12:40 we ordered and told her the ice tea was sweet. She left came back at 12:50 with more ice tea. This time it was right. At 1:10 we asked her how much longer, she just shrugged. At 1:20 we threw 10 dollars on the table for the two ice teas and we left. The unbelievable part of this was the people next to us came in after us ordered and ate before we even got a drink. There was only 8 tables, it was relatively empty.

The best prime rib around, we have tried them all! Fast at serving, fresh vegetables, and great blue cheese dressing!

We had dinner at Eagles Nest tonight because of the 5 star reviews. There were people at 4 tables other than us. 5:30. We did not get the glass of water we ask for, twice. We sat for 15 minutes to get out drinks, a wine and a cola. I ordered the prime rib special and he had the stuffed flounder. When we got the check I had order the Sat. Prime rib special, server said 'you're gonna be a problem' and I had to pay full price. And the food was warm, not fresh hot. $65.00 later we went home. Won't go back as there are so many really great places to eat around here. We had a really great view of the driving range.

We have been here many, many times, usually in a group of three or four friends. This place is not expensive, has great deals like 25 % off all day on Mondays, plus coupons, plus drink specials. The food is good and We have always finished all our food or took home whatever was left, in a box ! I probably could not say that about any other restaurant ! Breakfast offers a large menu, and inexpensive, lunch the same. Dinner menu not large, but has all the usual items. Burgers or chicken is good, fish fry very tasty ! Only problem is the service. Each time before we go in, we laughingly talk about what will happen this time. Will it be hardly anyone there and the hostess ignores our presence for five minutes, appearing from the back room ? Most likely it will be a waitress problem. A year ago we finally had a good waitress, Sandy from Micco, and she was great, so we asked her hours working and only ate there then. Worked great for a while, but don't see her anymore. It seems there is a huge turnover constantly. Guess Owner doesn't pay well. Check dinner specials on specials board outside, go in and order a special, and the waitress doesn't know what you're talking about. Tell waitress you want mashed potato or baked, to substitute in your fish fry order and she does not know if she can, or will tell you it will cost extra, and you have to tell her she is wrong. Last time there, meal came 65 minutes after our two fish fry, and one burger orders. Had to beg for water glasses to be refilled. Water there tastes great, however ! If you have time like we do, and are patient, you will love the views of golfers or sky divers, enjoy consistently good food in pleasant surroundings and love a low bill, you will go often for breakfast, and at least once every week for lunch or dinners, which will be as good if not better than Mulligans or Captain Hirams and which will cost about half as much ! Good steak, good ribs, too !

We had the prime rib and it was a little disappointing - it tasted almost like it had been reheated. It certainly didn't look like the pictures on their website. On the bright side - the waitress was new but very attentive and the food was delivered quickly.
