This has to be the most awful restaurant that I have tried to eat at. Loaded with flies. I had a fly land on my food coming back from the food bar. Disgusting! Do yourself a favor and never eat here.

My experience was horrible the food did not look good it did not taste good I went to get something else to try and it was no good when I walked in there was nobody at the cash register there was another lady that came in after I had been there for a few minutes looking for somebody he went to look for somebody as well they were too busy in the bar doing nothing but talking I had one napkin in the napkin holder I moved around and found two napkin holders that were empty and I moved them by a table by their self and nobody offered to pick them up and fill them up they just sat there I walked out shame for such a big place no customers

I haven't been back for a while and my husband, and I decided to try it again. This time it smelled worse than before, and they had straws sitting in a box where everyone would have to touch them to get a straw for their drink. Pork chops were tuff this time and the fried fish and chicken were not hot! Couldn't enjoy our food with the smell and couldn't drink our pop because of everyone touching the straws, we definitely won't be back for a while and I do hope that the new owners would have a manager that can check on the food and see what the help is doing in the back. They may need trained or maybe some additional help that can cook or fry some new and different food. All of this has been the same for years. This could be a good place to eat but the owners aren't coming and checking on the help. Train the people you have and bring new ideas to the table.

We usually dine there for lunch. The food is hit or miss. Sometimes when we come for lunch it is good. Sometimes not so good. One day last week we came for dinner. The person who greeted us was not very nice. We decided not to stay and left.

Booths need to be scrubbed clead. Sticky surfaces.soft drink dispenser broken, lemonade gave only water, diet coke dispenser broken. Most of the hot food was mushy, sitting in liquid and just warm. One and done.

Selection not as good as it used to be. Chicken still good. Sorely lacking in variety of items on salad bar and desserts. Chocolate ice cream taste terrible--old, freezer burnt. Very few toppings for salad-- no cheese, egg, beets, peas, etc. Crackers stale. No pizza, no rolls.. A lot of seafood items, but not good--tough. Has really gone down in quality and offerings.

It has good food, if you want to cut your own beef and have fried chicken and mashed potatoes. But if you are looking for something you cannot prepare at home, well this is not for you.

I hadn't been there for a couple years and at that time it was excellent. Since then it has changed hands and the quality has tanked. I went on a weekday evening but not too late in the evening. The food looked terrible like it had been sitting there for hours and possibly just reheated from prior days. The selection and taste of what was there wasn't that good either. Plus they play religious music all the time. I'm certainly not against religion but if I want religious music I would greatly prefer to listen to it in church or in my own privacy instead of being force fed it during my restaurant dinner.

We just paid our second ever visit to Homer's. The first (2014) was a disaster. The big problem then was the carpeted entryway on the North side of the building. The smell of fungus lingered throughout our attempts to eat, making everything taste bad. My wife, Patricia, searched the internet for "Restaurants Open Thanksgiving" and found Homer's listed #1. We decided to give it a second chance and we are glad we did. The entryway has been replaced with two doors set at right-angles to the main entrance. It is tiled. No carpet to mold. We were able to get a booth, which Patricia prefers. Drinks are self serve, but my doctor demands I drink only non-caffeinated diet. Their soft drinks were either caffeinated or had sugar. Fortunately, they serve decaf coffee ☕, but they were out. I told one of the servers and she made a fresh pot and brought a cup to my table. Very good taste, not bitter. The food was what Patricia calls "Hotel Food," bland and uninspired. She can do much better at home. There was plenty of it. Opting for traditional Thanksgiving food, I found a pan of turkey and dressing smothered in saffron gravy, I added a small slice of ham, a small serving of three baby back ribs, a chicken wing, and a half-spoon shells and cheddar. digging through the gravy, I found a piece of dark turkey. I usually eat white, but it tasted good with the gravy. The ham had an unusually strong flavor but I ate it with the dressing and gravy. The pasta tasted good but I would have liked a sharper cheese, The ribs were the best thing on my plate. My wife found a different pan of turkey bits and picked white meat to which she added dressing, stewed carrots, and mashed potatoes. My wife has good teeth, has been praised by her dentist as "a poster girl for dental hygiene," but found herself unable to chew the turkey. She ate all the vegetables and dressing. For dessert, she tried what she thought was a brownie but turned out to be a flat square of cake with not much sugar or cocoa. She tried a slice of banana bread and found it edible but not the best. I went for the sugar-free ice cream. They offer vanilla and strawberry. I chose vanilla. It was tasty with a grainy texture that told me it would be a good choice for dieting. The verdict: we will probably be back the next time all the other restaurants in town are closed for a holiday. BTW: nothing was wasted, except the bread. we carry plastic bags for bones and the tough turkey, Our-five pound poodle will have treats for several days.

The COVID pandemic caused a change of ownership for this popular Sebring restaurant and the quality has suffered. The selection of entrees is smaller, the soft-serve is gone (they have limited selection of hand-dipped ice cream) and the dining room is rarely busy, so the food isn't that fresh. When we last visited in May, we were disappointed. (My review from 2017 was very positive.)
