We called to order a fairly good amount of food, instead of telling us that prices have changed from their current website prices it was an oh well sorry. She claims its a photo someone posted they cant remove but its not a photo its their physical website. When confronted they didnt want to make it right whatso ever. So we will take business elsewhere from Now on. Dont blame people for your own error fix your website

The only thing more I could ask for from this small town gem is a little bigger tables and a little more comfortable seats neither are worth a complaint as we were far too engaged in our order of sinfully delightful flavors. By far the best gator bites and fried shrimp in all Hernando county, And one of the very few places to get boudin links. About the boudin it reminds me much of my father's recipe only tamed down for the normal crowds as my father liked it spicy. But still everything was delicious and the music was fantastic and service was remarkably quick considering the large order. All in all a wonderful experience

We've been here twice. The boiled crawfish boil was very good. Had a little kick to it. The fried catfish was moist and delicious. Had a nice crisp breading. We had gumbo, gator bites and ettoufe. Everything was excellent. Its not a fancy place. A simple little restaurant with great food!

We heard about, A taste of New Orleans and decided to try it. When you walk in you are greeted by a smiling face. You’re given menus. You select a table then decide what you want to eat. You have to go back up to the counter to place your order and pay. We ordered 2 of the Boss platters and a fish meal with shrimp and hush puppies as there were 5 of us. The fish meal was over fried, the fish was mushy. With each platter you get 4 hard boiled eggs, 4 pcs of corn on the cob, 4 muscles, 4 cut potatoes, shrimp, a whole snow crab cut in half and some sausage cut into bite sized pcs.You are given plastic forks, which break the first time you use them. You also get one nut cracker. You have to ask for the cracker and plastic ware. Plenty of paper towels on each table. You also get a small paper plate. The tables weren’t cleaned very well, showing remnants of previous diners. Drinks are free refills. Special hot sauce bottles are available, but we didn’t use them as there were heavy buildup around the opening. No telling how long ago they were wiped clean. If you want garlic butter, that is extra. No one from staff checked if we needed anything. It was self serve all the way. The décor was old and not very clean. While the food was pretty good, the lack of service was a turnoff. For the five of us, our bill came to around $140.00Will we go back? No. Not until they address the cleanliness and offer some sort of customer service. If that happens, we may try them again. I would post photos but there is no spot to upload any.Parking: Parking is off to the side and in what looks to be a closed strip mall. I didn’t see handicapped parking and we were the only diners.

We had quite a few food trucks visit today so it made the choice for lunch very difficult. When I saw the Taste of New Orleans menu I had to order from them. I ordered the Fish & Shrimp combo with Hush Puppies and Cajan Fries. My wife ordered the Cajan Fried Fish with Hush Puppies and Cajan Fries. We only had to wait 20 minutes and our order was ready. Everything was fresh, hot and very delicious. This now our goto location for fresh seafood.

Wow! The food was delicious and well-seasoned. The fried shrimp po-boy was amazing! The large beignets were outstanding. We recommend getting the strawberry sauce, but they do offer others like caramel and chocolate. ? The service was great. You order at the counter, and they call you when it's ready. The menu has plenty of great food items that are authentic to New Orleans vibe and culinary culture. The ambiance was colorful and fun. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our dining experience here.Parking: Plenty

Best food in Florida. Friendly fast service. Live soft New Orleans style jazz music. Just all around wonderful place to dine.

The Cajun food is delicious and the servings are more than ample. I wish they would serve the food at your table instead of call you up to the counter. They do this and have a tip jar at the counter. The owner and staff are polite and genuine. When they have their shows, the music is also outstanding. I learned how to make gumbo in Louisiana and this is the closest to my homemade version that I have had to date.
