Local St. Augustine brewer, Ancient City, has a tap room where guests can enjoy some freshly brewed beers. They have their classic line up and rotating seasonal brew. It's a very relaxed and casual setting.

A cool brewery in Downton St Augustine.We stopped in for a drink while wandering the city. It's a nice tap room with a lot of space. You can definitely pack a lot of people in. There are just a few tables but they don't have food anyway. The staff are nice enough.Nice selection of beers, amber, porter, red, IPA, lager. Nice spread. They were out of the 2 I was most interested in which is shame but it happens. Also while the IBU's were fairly low on most beers they all had a harsh hop bite on the finish. If you're into IPAs you'll probably like everything here. If not then everything other than the porter is probably going to turn you off.Not a bad place to drink to in St Augustine.

We had a great experience. The beer was good and so was the service. The bartender was friendly and she answered all of the questions that we had about the different beers on tap. We will stop again on our next visit to St. Augustine.

The golden ale and coconut porter were both great. Golden ales are very much up my alley and this one nailed it.

Ancient City has definitely been around for awhile - an awkward space with the longest bar in town? Beer was good - went with the Amber Ale which I guzzled down Service was good with it being a 1 woman operation at the time of our visit on a Sunday afternoon. A bit dark and maybe a little musty for my liking which resulted in 4/5 score.

We had a DECENT experience here. Came in for a few beers when we happened upon the taproom. We enjoy checking out the local brews. We were disappointed to find the young lady bartending was more interested finishing her meal and chumming it up with old pals than serving customers.We initially placed an order for a flight and the bartender seemed either uninterested or annoyed with the request. It appears the couple next to us received the same response.After being ignored for a time, and preparing to leave, the bartender finally came back and gave us a “discount” for the inconvenience. As appreciative as we were, in a taproom with maybe 6 patrons, in a place that serves NO FOOD, it was still disappointing.The beers were pretty good. We recommend the OCD and the Citra. It’s a cool vibe, just don’t expect prime service.
