The restaurant is located in the Wisteria House Inn and there was no signage indicating it was there so we were a bit confused and thought we were in the wrong place. Once we got that straight however, we ordered lunch for the family. My wife and I had the fish and chips which were absolutely outstanding! If you'd like something to compare it to, picture the fish and chips crap you get at the UK pavilion at Disney, then picture it 1000 times better and half the price! That's what it was like here! The rest of thier menu had a ton of tasty burger and seafood options. Big portions and reasonably priced. Loved it here and will return to this place on our next trip to St. Aug.

Not a huge place to eat in with only 3 tables available. I had the foot long chili dog which was pretty good. The chili was on the better side I've had but I've had better sausage. Also ordered was the fish sandwich which I was told was delicious and definitely worth a try if you like seafood. Prices are also decent so for us this place was perfect for lunch.

This was a detour place as the one we meant to eat at was close post-hurricane Ian. A varied menu, not much seating - tho there was one table outside. It got a lot busier while we ate. My friends had versions of the hot dog, and I had the BLT and onion rings. Those were fantastic! The BLT was okay. A good amount of bacon, but I asked for extra mayo and it was a little too much. Also served on a burger bun instead of toast. Again, okay but I wasn't expecting it. I'll get a hot dog and onion rings next time.

Although they’re known for their incredible fish sandwich, I ordered a grilled chicken Philly, and it was delicious as well! The cheesy broccoli bites, fried oysters, and onion rings were also tasty. Everything is made to order, so it’s served piping hot. This Bantam Chef location is located near the back corner of the large Lightner museum. Just look for the purple/wisteria house! Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see many cars; a lot of people walk to this location and/or do takeout.

My favorite “go to” restaurant in Saint Augustine. Their fish sandwich is gigantic and the best anywhere around. They also have a fantastic bacon burger for around seven dollars, a giant fried chicken sandwich that’s awesome, and a Philly cheesesteak that is delicious. Pretty much anything you choose here will be delicious and add a good price. I live in town and this is the only place I order my food from when I order delivery.

Really great-tasting food! Their known for their fish sand which, but I had a grilled chicken Philly which was also delicious. Everything is cooked to order, so it’s hot and fresh. The broccoli bites are cheesy goodness and the onion rings are crunchy and flavorful. This downtown St. Augustine Bantam Chef location is at the back “corner” of the large Lightner museum.just look for the light purple/wisteria house! ?

I only come to St. Augustine every couple of weeks. I come to this restaurant more than half the time that I have lunch in the town. Their Fish sandwich is large and delicious. They have several different sandwiches and meals, all made to order.

The fish sandwich was very good, shared with the wife but next time I'll get my own. It was excellent.

We had eaten a couple years ago at their location in Bunnell FL..food great but accommodations not so much. We were thrilled when we heard that they Bantam Chef was also now in St. Augustine. We had seen it but did not have time to eat there in April but knew we were coming back in July. Well let me tell you, we are 10 days into our vacation and already eaten there TWICE. The selections are many, the flavor is awesome and the speed of serving is incredible. We love the fried shrimp, the oyster sandwich, the famous fish sandwich and all the entrees look great. My husband had the fish and oysters...all great..not greasy at all.The broccoli bites (cheese/broccoli) are so so good. We will definitely be eating there often.

Finally made it here after looking at the pictures on TripAdvisor for over a year. Parking is ample in the area so we were good to go. We got there around noon and only a few people were in line. The restaurant is small but has several tables inside and outside. My wife and I both ordered the large fish sandwich. She got hers with lettuce and tomato while I ordered mine with extra tarter sauce and no veggies. The sandwiches were outstanding! After eating we stayed for a few minutes talking to the staff. Really friendly people! Next time we’re in St Augustine we will eat here again!

A great little spot tucked in near Flagler college and the casa Monica hotel. Their original famous fish sandwich did not disappoint and was huge. The generous portions of the platters made them perfect for sharing. Fries were skinny and delicious as was the coleslaw. Great spot for a casual meal

Seriously the best fish sandwich ever! We eat there daily every time when in Saint Augustine. Today we also split a BLT as well as split the fish sandwich and the blt was also ridiculously good. Small quick in and out place to grab a quick bite.

Saw an ad recommending their large fish sandwich and boy did it live up to the hype! We got there kind of late but the lady at the counter told us we could take our time. This sandwich was huge and with the right condiments it was great. They had great fries also. I enjoyed my visit I will be back. It's in a college area of the town a little off the path but worth it.
