The absolute best food and overall dining experience in St Augustine. And you won’t find better food (in generous portions) for a better price! We split a bottle of wine, two apps, and the filet. 10/10 recommend.

I really wanted to really like this place. The atmosphere is cool but I was not impress with the food. I ordered the vegan pesto penne pasta, was told by the server that the pasta was not vegan because it has egg in it.?‍♀️ It is not fresh pasta it is dry boxed pasta so I am sure it is vegan, but it was just annoying. Then the bruschetta had cream cheese on it and the menu did not say that it had cheese on it. The bread was supposed to be toasted but it was not. The server was really nice. I hope this helps.

We had dinner here as a family but we ordered all appetizers such as bruschetta, the 2 charcuterie plates and hummus. The food was wonderful and sitting out in the foliage was a nice shady change. A couple downsides to this place. First, there are no restrooms. Second there is no indoor seating. Another thing that was really annoying is there I called ahead to ask if they were open because when we walked by earlier it had a closed sign up. The person answered and said yes they were open. When we get there the closed sign still up and two young men were sitting there out front of the place but it looked open. We waited a few minutes and openly talked about our confusion and the young men said nothing. Finally a waiter appears from next door and seats us. Turns out the young men were the cooks and I guess couldn’t be bothered to tell us anything. Probably a good reason place was rather empty. The food was good but the set up of the place leaves a lot to be desired.

We stumbled here being amazed by the wonderful piano player. I ordered two appetizers instead of a dinner. Not only did we wait 45 minutes for the dishes to come out, but the smoked salmon was miniscule. The waitress apologized saying they ran out of salmon! The second dish was mussels and more than half the plate did not open and could not be consumed! I make mussels often, and have never had this happen! My husband had a tiny cornish hen that was as tasteless! After reading the many positive reviews, I am assuming the chef had the night off! Terrible experience!

What a charming spot! Vined garden with fire pits, live keyboardist on a Monday. Courtyard seating. Loved the Moroccan lamb dish, and the affordable (but quality) wine by the bottle. Seemed like a family establishment; if you aren't uptight, I bet you'll love it as much as we did.

First let me say I thought this place was, to use a perhaps over-used phrase, a Hidden Gem! and I'd absolutely go back. We were on an unplanned stop in St. Augustine for one night (New Year's Eve), had no reservations, walked around through all the street revelers and had resigned ourselves to probably eating bar food in a loud drunken pub ...... then we turned onto a quiet (er) street, heard beautiful (what turned out to be live piano) music and saw this place tucked into a garden. We both made a comment that we'll have to put this place on our list for another visit to St. Augustine, it looked TOO charming and the menu looked great -- we were sure it was all booked for NYE dinner. Just for grins I asked if they might have a cancellation for the evening .....we ended up with a nice table on the rail (great for people watching) and had a truly 5-star dinner, in an enchanting almost chic atmosphere. Even if it hadn't been during covid-times, eating in this charming garden would be a treat, we had a lovely 2 hour dinner, talked with Greg the owner, who used to be a golf pro and had traveled the world which explains the international flair to the menu. It is a family operation, and I'm not sure who is actually cooking, but they know what they're doing -- everything we had was perfectly prepared. The Venezuelan pianist (I think he was Toscanini's nephew or maybe great nephew?) who took requests, was not just for NYE, he is a regular there! Holidays you can usually expect less than perfection from a restaurant, however, I must say our experience here was fabulous. However, in good conscience I couldn't leave a full 5-star rating because of, as others have mentioned, the lack of restroom facilities. I know Florida operates in many ways on their own, but its difficult to believe state/city regulations would allow restaurant space that didn't have a more proper arrangement, but .....I'm not sure if the setup across the street was officially their restroom or some make-shift arrangement, but lets just say that experience was not congruent with the rest of the evening. That said, we would definitely go back and have recommended it.

The food was so delicious! I had the chicken penne (shown in picture) which is now one of my favorite dishes I’ve had at a restaurant. My boyfriend had the grouper which he also really liked. Romantic atmosphere, beautiful live instrumental music, and just a great ambience all around. The staff were friendly and we were quickly served.

So, this may sum it up... my husband broke his 6 month vegetarian run for half of my steak and had zero regrets. We had a cigar and wine next door and for an hour the smells wafting over was literally insane. I had to eat here... so we I ordered the filet w mushroom demi glaze garlic mashers and brussel sprouts and he ordered the pasta vegetarian dish. And then out came the most amazing perfectly charred outside. pink inside chunk of heaven. The ambiance was so enchanting with fires everywhere and lights dripping in green romantic vines. Literally an enchanting, unforgettable evening.

HORRIBLE! This is by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve had. St. Augustine has a lot of awesome restaurants and this is NOT one of them. The waiter didn’t give us the time of day and was very nonchalant with us. You get no bread or sides, and no straws for your drink. To top it off, towards the end of my meal I was shocked to be pulling a long hair out of my mouth (which wasn’t mine), that was in my food! Its not very gourmet to have a long blondish wavy hair strand cooked into the food. When I addressed it with the waiter, they just looked at me and didn’t care to do anything, and finally offered 50% off the bill (which the whole thing should’ve been comp’d). Don’t order the lobster ravioli, unless you want a side of hair. HORRIBLE! WOULD NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!

This was an awesome little spot mostly covered in tree and vine plant canopies. It was a great place to get out of the sun and sit back and enjoy a beer, some coffee and some food. The Cafe has some amazing cheescake. The server was really friendly and went above and beyond for us. Food was amazing and was priced fair for its location.

Absolutely beautiful garden covered in passion fruit vines, with well spaced tables and small gas fire pits. And the food was pretty good too. All tables are outside and the kitchen is in a small historic structure on the grounds. No reservations, no bathrooms (though there are nearby public restrooms when they're open). And parking in this area is very challenging, so give yourself plenty of extra time to fight traffic, find parking, and walk over. All of that stress will be forgotten as soon as you sit down in the beautiful garden.

One waiter for the entire restaurant on one of the busiest nights of the year. A hostess and second employee who did very little to help the poor server attend to the patrons. The kitchen was incredibly slow as it took 1 hr to receive our mediocre entrees. No offer of coffee or dessert. Total waste of time and money.

You must go here!! The lamb pop appetizer was out of the world!! Our meal was exceptional! The owner Greg made the experience incredible! We stumbled upon this restaurant and it is now one of our favorites!

The hostess sat us in a beautiful garden for a table for two. Then informed us they were still waiting for the kitchen to open and were only serving appetizers. It was about one o clock and they said they were open which is the only reason we went in. If they didn’t open till 4 (as I later found out), they shouldn’t have seated us. We would have liked to order a full meal but the appetizers were the only thing she offered. I ordered a salad which was mostly arugula and my husband had chicken wings. Neither dish was particularly tasty but we finished them nonetheless since the price was pretty high. Both of our dishes came out at multiple times so we didn’t really eat together and the poor waitress was a little overwhelmed with the tables she had but She was very polite. Multiple other tables were seated around us and throughout the meal we could tell they struggled with the experience like we did. I think the location and menu would have been great if we could have had the regular experience. If they would have said they were closed and we came at a normal time, I’m hope it would’ve gone smoother.
