La Herencia has been a long time family favorite when we are in the area. Stopped by yesterday on our way down from Jacksonville and was so sad to see they have closed down. Hoping they pop up elsewhere. Man was I craving their Guajiro plate!

Best Cuban Sandwich I’ve ever had! with a side of black beans/rice and plantains and I’ve been going here for years!! Always looked forward to coming here every time I’m in St. Augustine and I always recommend it to everyone! But sadly it has closed down without notice I’m afraid, praying for word on a new location

Had a great experience there. Ropa vieja is my favorite, and they did a great job with it. My guest also enjoyed his meal. It's small and can get busy but a great little place out of the way. I'd go back.

Excellent Cuban food. We had the ceviche, Cuban sandwich, croquettes, chorizo and cheese, Elena Ruth and yuca fries. The yuca fries were just okay, but the rest of the food was amazing. We sat outside which was lovely. Service was not great.

Kitchen nightmare! The complete dinner was a disaster. We asked for beans as a side and the waiter told us that they burned them so he did not recommend them.I order the pull pork and to my surprise they gave me and my son beans and he was right, they were pretty darn burned. We sent them back and asked for roasted potatoes that looked and tasted as they were cooked a week ago.My son ordered steak and it was so overcooked, dry as the sahara and it did not look like it was freshly cooked, just warmed up. We had 4 people and all dishes had similar quality. There was a large window looking at the kitchen and we should have ran away when I saw it; food was excessively salty. I cannot remember a worst restaurant than this one.

We had huge, delicious omelets at their outdoor tables on this charming narrow street. We had our two pups with us and the servers couldn't have been nicer.

Met some former coworkers for brunch. I had the chorizo omelette, sweet plantains, Cuban toast & Cuban coffee. Everything was delicious,, our server was friendly and attentive. I would dine here again.

On a day trip to St. Augustine, we stopped here for a bite to eat around lunchtime. We both had the Cuban sandwiches and we're glad we did. They were very big and authentic, with real pernil (roast pork). I wish I'd had the yucca fries, but they were out, so we had tostones instead. Our waitress was very friendly and was genuinely sorry they didn't have yucca fries. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Authentic Cuban food , good service, walking distance from all St. Aug attractions with tables inside as well as al fresco right on Aviles

The chorizo omelet was so good I ate it before I could take a picture. My wife liked her chorizo open face pizza and the cafe con leches were good too. Dog friendly. They even brought out a bowl of water for our pooch.

The food was AMAZING. We were a large group and the staff was friendly and responsive. I would have given it 5 stars but we kept having to step outside because our eyes were hurting so bad from the smoke coming out of the kitchen. It was really bad. They really need to fix the ventilation system in there. So eat here, but opt to dine alfresco.
