We had such a great time here yesterday! McKenzie took care of us and she was so sweet and professional and awesome at what she does! The location is really beautiful and enjoyable so I appreciated that she let us take our time through our drinks and courses and we didn’t feel rushed. The calamari was so good and I had never had it prepared that way before with banana peppers and parmesan and the pepper sauce, definitely my new favorite way! Our drinks were delicious and our entrees were too. Thanks for having us!

Our dinner was very delicious yet simple. Portion size was a bit under sized for a hungry traveler! What earned the 5 stars was the combination of friendliness, ambiance, and location. Our server gave us a good idea of this family owned business which includes the rustic over the water tiki hut, the restaurant with thatch hut booth like tables to a full facility marina. The views of the surrounding waterways are beautiful…almost don’t want to publish this one but looks like the secret it out, this place has had lots of visitors over the years. Looks like the locals love this place and so do we!Update:Later that week we visited the marina and had an opportunity to speak with the dock master Todd Foote. He took his time to answer our questions about the marina, area nearby, and seasonal weather. This place feels relaxed and folks seem friendly.

The menu is just like every other beach side restaurant, nothing but fried foods and one fresh vegetable option. The drinks are way too sugary. For what we got, our lunch was not worth $140 before tip.The best part about this place is the interesting seating/atmosphere, but the doc and the water do most of the heavy lifting. The servers were nice and down to earth people. It was easy to get seated, but we were there on a Tuesday for late lunch. I imagine it's much busier on a weekend.

Came here and was so thoroughly disappointed by the food and general operations of the place I have to write this review. The Food:My family ordered 6 different dishes. Every single one of them was bland or not properly cooked in some way. The chicken had no flavor. The lobster had a funny taste and was chewy and overcooked. The grilled cheese bread was too hard and the cheese wasn't even melted. Every single plate came out "hot" which pretty much tells me they're microwaving the food. None of the food looked fresh, it all seemed frozen and unappealing. It just was not good! The Prices:Way way way too high for the quality of food we received. Was anything hand-breaded? I doubt it. Was anything made in-house? Again, highly doubt it. It's fine-dining prices for, in my estimation, worse than Applebee's quality food. They automatically applied gratuity on the check for a party of 6 (3 kids, 3 adults), and charged $0.50 extra for marinara sauce I didn't order. I was so annoyed I didn't bother to say anything, but this is not okay. I always leave good tips, but if there was ever a time to tip closer to 10% rather than 20%, this was it.The Service:Our server was nice, but was generally slow. Getting the food was quick, because there's little preparation in making likely microwaved food, but refills were almost non-existent, and it took too long to place our order and get our check to finally leave. The Atmosphere:The only saving grace. If not for the location there's no way a restaurant can get away with the quality of food, price, and service we received.I really hope they improve, but the place just felt like there was a lack of care put into it as of now. They need to bring back fresh food. Streamline the menu, put some effort into your operations, and figure it out. Because I feel ripped off on every level.

Don't dare take 8 or more people to eat at The Conch! If you do, the server may choose to require all of you to have one ticket and split it up between yourselves, including the taxes and gratuity. The server may refuse to give you individual tickets.So...we had 10 people, which because of couples would have been 5 tickets. However, if 5 individual people had eaten, they would have been gives 5 individual tickets, no questions asked. Not service oriented at all, but the food is good.?
