Staff seemed unsure about menu and somewhat distracted for midday, food was ok but not overly tasty. Drinks were ok.

Our server would occasionally pass by to see how everything was going. It would have been nice to have more frequent pop ups.

My fiance and I had lunch yesterday. We had crab legs and Yucatan shrimp. Both were awesome. We'll definitely return.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE WITH A BIG PARTY! 30 minutes for waters, and hour for the check. Confusion runs amok at this restaurant. The food is good but is served by inefficient staff. Noah was the server and he dropped all the things.

Won’t sit someone at the bar who is a single? Will seat only pairs? That’s discrimination.Small minded and ignorant.Sad.

Great Experience!! The atmosphere here at the Doc Ford's St. Petersburg Pier is just as wonderful as their other locations. Now I can say that I've been to all of their locations!! Great food!! Perfectly Crafted Cocktails!! Fantastic Service!! Fabulous Atmosphere!! And, Especially that "Doc Ford's Rum Bar Vibe" that you can expect to feel at each location!! It's a totally submersive thing that you just feel once you step onto the property!! I had the Shrimp Ceviche paired with the Fried Calamari.... Superb!!My BFF of 43 years and I had a great time!!

Food was mediocre. Calamari was dry and over cooked, fish sandwich was way over seasoned and the server was very inattentive. Not the best start to a vacation.

April 2022 - Great location! There is so much to see, here. Parking was plentiful and convenient (for a fee) and covered, although we would probably use the conveniently-located, uncovered EV (Shell Recharge Level 2) parking next time (still free in April 2024).We had a 45 min wait at 4:30 on a late April Saturday but we requested indoors only as rain was looking imminent and they (understandably) couldn't promise to move us if we were outside when it started. Looks like there is lots of outdoors seating, though, and some on a covered porch (which would have been perfect).I was disappointed I couldn't see the water views from the booth we were seated in, but we walked and looked around before and after dinner, so that was fine. I normally like booths because I can hear conversations better, and it WAS loud in there. I'm wondering if booths are going to be more popular in this post-Covid era??? Doc's had both tables and booths.Food was interesting and good. Waiter was ok. I'm thinking there are a lot of inexperienced waiters working these days, so we'll give them a few months before we get cranky about it. ?Only real thing I can think of is he didn't offer to refill our waters and seemed hurried (probably WAS).Oh, beforehand we walked around the yard and sat at an empty picnic table on the restaurant property and a waitress came and asked if we wanted anything from the bar while we waited. That was very nice.4/1/2024 - Arrived a little after 11am; no waiting for seating; sat outside "on the shells" and it was a lovely day; we stayed for two hours visiting with old friends, with no pressure to leave. There was plenty of seating under the porch and outside on the shells. Such a lovely setting. I got the southwestern cobb salad. Pretty good.4/9/2024 - Back on a windy, windy day. Again arriving at opening time which works great for immediate seating. Today I got the Yucatan shrimp tacos. Very good. Creamy cole slaw side also good, as was the brownie and ice cream which was big enough to share with my husband.Parking: Several EV parking spots

Great location and views right on the bay. Food selection is really nice and we tried many items, all of which were pretty tasty. I recommend the Fig & Prosciutto flatbread. Salads are very good here too. They have some tees and hats and the tees are a nice quality shirt. Service was good but the location is the best. Make reservations!
