Took to-go. Portion size is astronomical, you can feed two football players with just an order of the pulled pork dinner. Lets talk sides first. Macaroni and cheese was flavorful but had minimal cheese flavor and sauce, wish It had more cheese, but the pasta was not mushy which is good. Chicken and Rice was excellent, rice cooked perfectly, had lots of flavor, not much chicken but it did have the taste of chicken. If you have the opportunity to get two sides, I'd double up on the Rice and Chicken. The pulled pork was good. Had a little bit of moisture and smokiness, doused in their sweet tangy bbq sauce. I swear they give you a pound of pulled pork.

Hi, I don't understand why there are so many good reviews either the reviews are fake or fake accounts. Some of my coworkers and I decided to order food from here, it was a complete disaster. First, we ordered through Bite squad, then this place claimed that they cancelled their account after we already paid and placed the order, so now we have to wait to get our money back, then we ordered on Uber eats, and certain foods weren't available and it took an hour to prepare, took the driver 30 minutes and its only 10 minutes away. When we got the food the order was wrong, a whole dinner was missing and drinks weren't even there. oh and also the sides on the some of the order were completely wrong. We have called several times to try and communicate with them to let them know, but no answer. THIS IS BAD BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT EAT THERE, and by the way they have canned Glory greens from Wal-Mart and the mac and cheese was dry ASF. I think that they accidently picked up turnip glory greens from Wal-Mart. The food was not ready when the driver got there, like it doesn't take 2 hours to cook canned greens and dry mac and cheese. One of the pregnant girls at the job got uncooked ribs and it had blood on it and all fat, this is not good for our new generation, please reach out at this point we are all disappointed. The uber driver might have stole the dinner, and asked for help to get the food out of the car. DO NOT ORDER HERE!!!!!!! They never answered the phone.

Tried Famous Jays the other day. Came in and ordered a Pulled Pork dinner with green beans and baked beans. When I came home, I got both of the beans but the pulled pork turned to BBQ Ribs. The ribs were good but I'm not a fan of ribs, hence I ordered pulled pork. Maybe next time they get it right!! Place was empty and the cook was sitting at the bar when I ordered with the woman and he insisted to get the food for me and it came out wrong

Delicious! Don't expect anything upscale and fancy, come with a mindset that ur going to the perfect spot for great BBQ!! Portions are huge and prices like this dont exist anymore! For $45 my family of 5, which includes kids ages 2, 9, and 12, had 2 pulled pork sandwiches which came w 2 sides each. We chose baked beans, green beans, collard greens and mac n cheese. We also ordered the ribs which was huge!! The mac n cheese was cheesy w a touch of smoke and just delicious that we ordered and extra side. The side alone, not with the sandwich, was alot!! My 12 yr old was hooked! Dont be scared by the mustard colored sauce. Its smokey with just enough spice and sooooo good! Customer service was awesome, even a back of the house gentleman came out and asked how everything was. The music was old school R&B which made us want to stay longer!! Whenever we come back to St. Pete, we will definitely visit them again.

Do it! Probably get extra sauce, they give you enough, but it is so good! They are friendly and quick. The food is amazing! Get the collard greens, you won't be disappointed!

I went to this establishment today with my family members. The decor was okay and we were greeted by literally everyone in the front of the house which I loved because customer service is a big deal to me. We were disappointed about them not having any seafood for "Seafood Saturday", but the woman told us their supplier hadn't shown up. I ended up getting the rib dinner with baked beans and Mac n cheese. My mother got the same but with greens. I didn't eat the food until an hour later, but it was very good. I loved everything and the food came out extremely quick. Whenever I'm back in the area, I'll consider returning.

Excellent real bbq. Awesome to get there before lunch and watch the smoker working, and smelling :) Ribs and pulled pork were excellent, sides were great and like their bbq sauce. Would recommend and will be back.
My 1st time in today. Ordered the rib dinner with green beans and baked beans on the side. The ribs were delicious. Smokey with the right amount of tug off the bone. I was worried about the sauce at first view because it had a mustard look, but it was very tasty indeed and I enjoyed it. Both beans were very good and clearly homemade. I liked my meal so much that when finished I ordered a pulled pork dinner with the same sides to go for my dinner latter on. I will definitely be back to try some offerings on the menu.

Ok, maybe the that's a bit much, but the sauce is good. Like, really good. Thus far I've only had the ribs, wings, and a smoked weiner. All were delicious. The chicken and rice side dish is practically a meal in itself. There's fruit punch! After two tries this has become my favorite bbq in town.

Famous Jays is some of the best bbq spot I've been to in my 6 years of living in st Pete. Wonderful customer service and very comforting environment. I got the rib dinner with 2 sides, came with 4 big ribs with plenty of sauce big scoop of Mac and cheese and collard greens. Definitely will come back

Amazing. I don't know what else to say. The pulled pork is some of the best pulled pork I've ever had. The sauce is delicious. The beans are very sweet but really good. The price is great and the portions are huge. I would definitely recommend to others.
