Pro Tip: Call in your order. Fish and Shrimp, great. Mac N Cheese, great. Cole slaw; finely chopped institutional. Lemonade, pure sugar syrup. Order half cup and top with water. Menu photos are not current prices. But it's worth the price.

Great spot on 22nd St. I came here for lunch after reading the many reviews on yelp and it did not disappoint. The menu is expensive with great deals on shrimp fish crab and traditional American food. I am sure I will be back.

This establishment was one that I searched for on Yelp and they did not disappoint. The customer service is very welcoming and the neighborhood was very near to the factory which is in St. Petersburg FL. When I walked in everything was very direct as far as the menu structure and I began to order some very delicious soul food. I ordered the shrimp and fish combo with the macaroni and cheese and string beans. I also ordered a large lemonade. Everything came out exactly as I asked and the grouper was really a highlight of the trip. I really enjoyed the shrimp because it reminded me of home in Los Angeles. The people around were safe and friendly and they did a good job of helping me out with the door. When I'm in the area I will definitely return.

Excellent fried fish!!! Worth the drive! Doesn't taste like processed food but authentic tasting! Lightly breaded with cornmeal I believe. Boiled peanuts were great too!

Fast service, good food and locally owned. There's plenty of parking. I know they're doing takeout right now but not sure about their dine in which looked a bit limited. Lots of people coming and going from here so seems to be a popular choice!

First time back after COVID . No real dinning area anymore. The place has been painted on the inside and there is now a menu board. Same great food. Best fried food in saint Pete.

Yum yum yum!!! The service was so good. We got Buffalo wings my boyfriend loved them he was licking his fingers all in the car he's really excited to try the garlic ones for next time!! I had tilapia and shrimp dinner they could've gave me a lot more shrimp because they gave me like four which was very disappointing but from the four I did have they were pretty good. I also had tilapia fish which was terrible it was so unseasoned in rubbery. But boyyyyy let me tel you about their boiled peanuts I ended up ordering 3 cups before I left because I finished my first one while waiting for my food. So good like I would buy a whole pot.

Chicken and fries were good. Buffalo sauce was iffy to me at first, but I ended up really enjoying it.

I went to this location yesterday and had the fish dinner with greens and macaroni and cheese. I've been in the Tampa Bay Area for five years and this is the first time having food this good from a restaurant! Check it out, you'll not be disappointed.

I went this past March lookIng for hot crab and fried catfish, and while I found both of those to be amazing, that homemade lemonade sent me right back to watching lightning bugs on my grandma's back porch. Next time I'm in St. Pete I'll probably visit daily...

If you're looking for a flavor that's like no other from homemade sauces, homemade lemonades, homemade seasonings that waters your tastebuds.. this is your place. I've been coming from childhood and I'm in my mid 30's... this place been around 25 years, that alone speaks for itself..a thriving, well respected owner and staff, comfortable and easy setting... the food is OUTSTANDING..try it for yourself, you won't be sorry.

I spent 9 weeks in Tampa and knew I wanted seafood at least a couple times in that time period. I was lucky enough to find Lorene's the last week spent in the Tampa area. Although it's small and unassuming, this little fish place blew other, bigger and flashier restaurants way out of the water. The ladies that work there have a ready smile and are so sweet. You can tell that they want you to have a great experience. To start off - they have tons of options. The menu is so extensive that it's almost hard to choose. I chose the Tilapia fish basket. I spent $10 on a homemade lemonade and enough food for two people. The basket comes with about 5-7 pieces of fried fish and fries. Th fried fish was the best seafood/fish I had all summer. Ok...I have to talk about this lemonade y'all, better than any store bought you're gonna find. They could honestly open a separate place and JUST sell the lemonade. It's the best lemonade that money can buy. They also have homemade tartar sauce which was just phenomenal. It was reminiscent of homemade cooking that you're grandma could whip up (but probably not as good). The area that this little mom + pop store was at, is in the "soul district". Driving through this area you'll see other creole/cajun places to eat and tons of stunning art. Everything about this experience was 10/10.
