**** Review 148 **** This is a great little local market! I stopped by on my way to work and decided to try one of their breakfast/brunch sandwiches. To my surprise, it was quite enjoyable! While it was a simple bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, they made it superbly. The only guy working there was really friendly and made sure I had a great breakfast. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a simple, yet tasty meal.

Loved this place! We live in Pinellas Point and we prefer old local spots, not chain stores. This grocery offers an eclectic mix of things from Amish Farmhouse Peach Bourbon BBQ Sauce to cute tshirts w witty gay slogans, serve-yourself fresh Buddy Brew coffee (good!), breakfast sandwiches and poké bowls. They have a big patio in back next to the boats in dry dock at the marina. There are also a few high-top tables & a picnic table along the street side (quiet 3rd street). There's a nice breeze off the bay, so a nice place to sit in warmer weather. The staff is friendly and efficient. My toasted everything bagel w cream cheese was tender and delicious, the coffee smooth and fresh and good. There's a little fridge next to the coffee where they keep milk, half & half, and skim milk to add to your coffee, and the sugars and sugar substitutes as well as stirring sticks are around the other side of the coffee bar. Well laid out, spacious for when there's more than one person getting a coffee. Local newspapers, all kinds of snack foods, both fresh and packaged, chips, cookies, candy bars, etc. Enjoy!!

Pathetic. I was a regular here 5 years ago before they lost their license to sell alcohol, tobacco, and lottery tickets. I actually worked here for a few weeks in 2023 and was horrified to see how far downhill the place had gone. 15 year old employees with zero experience or work ethic. Food quality absolutely horrible. Zero sanitation or food safety. I’m sad to say that I used to love this place and I will NEVER be back.

We go there for poke bowls. Great choices, fresh ingredients, friendly service. It's nice for breakfast or lunch too. There is an outdoor patio to just relax and eat.

Locals for two years…This place usually excels, but this is the second time the food has been below par and service has been even worse. The “poke bowl” is now a “joke bowl”We won’t be back for a while even though we want to like this place.

Been coming here for the last year. Typically, this place is representative of their good reviews. Walked out bummed with the service (poor to say the least) and then also when we got home to eat the food. Might be a while before we come back.

The quirky little market/cafe is quintessential St. Pete! A hodge podge of wonderful things like poke bowls, Thai tea and deli sandwiches. Nice breakfast sandwiches and reasonably priced. Everything is fresh and the staff is so chill and helpful. There are St. Pete hats for sale and some other locally made snacks.

I've been going to Old Southeast Market for probably around five years now. I used to go there at least once a week for a Poke bowl on the way home, but the last couple of times I have gone there, I have had terrible experiences. The staff is extremely rude and last time I went they actually scoffed at me when I asked if they could make a poke bowl. It was 6:00... they close at 9. They had most of the lights off and were blaring music so loud they could barely hear my order. Super sad to be writing this and will absolutely not be returning.

This place used to be fantastic. Unfortunately they seem to be giving up. Never have the ingredients for the banh mi. Alcohol hasn't been available for years now. Shame.

Yummy fresh ingredients. Great for low carb eaters. Lots of food and drink options. Friendly staff. Comfy atmosphere.

The poke bowls are filling, fresh and fairly priced. Great for lunch or late breakfast. However the sandwiches and specifically the breakfast sandwiches are extremely lack luster. Toasted bagel was squishy and damp. Sausage patty flavorless. Egg was dry and bland. The Market half of the store is acceptable in terms of product selection and prices.

This place is a hidden gem. I usually get the tofu pokė bowl. It is one of my favorite things ever. Today, I decided on the veggie sub and I added tofu and avocado. It is safe to say, I have a new favorite. For a second, I mistakenly thought they forgot the avocado. Nope!, I was wrong, there was plenty and it was fresh. Service is fast and friendly. I highly recommend this place

This place was in a sad state of affairs today, but looking at the reviews seems it's been that way for a while. I placed an online poke bowl order and when I arrived nearly 30 min later it was not prepared. There were 3 employees but none of them seemed to be doing anything. The prep area for the poke bowls was a mess, with random half filled cups of mystery liquids in the prep area. My poke bowl was missing numerous items I ordered, and the fish does not smell fresh. And for some reason it was warm? I had sweet potatoes noodles as one of my bases so maybe they had just been prepared( there was a big bowl of them sitting out so I presume so). The coolers are filled with various beers/wine but unfortunately cannot be purchased as there is no liquor license. Yikes!
