I had a very bad experience, I went with my wife and my son to look for food there, and a man between 50 and 60 years old received me, I spoke to him first in Spanish and he told me that he did not understand that he spoke English, then I spoke to him in English and I told him I wanted to try Puerto Rican food, and he pretended he didn't understand me, I felt discriminated against. In conclusion, terrible attention, I hope it was just a person who was not there to attend, otherwise terrible attention.

I didn't even see this place after I had parked and was waiting on a client but kept noticing a steady stream of people stopping by and getting takeout. I took a chance and called and ordered a cuban. Very pleasantly surprised. It takes two hands to eat each section of this thing. Love it. Going back again as soon as I can like tomorrow for lunch. I tell everyone about it. I'm a fat guy so people take my recommendations seriously. I'm also a level 6 Google Guide so I've been to lots of places and this one is at the top of eats.

I would go for the fries and empanadas again. The sauce on the fries is good. The tres leches cake is amazing, forgot to take a photo.

Just got into town and was starving! Got a recommendation from the kid at Walgreens and he said Smiley's has the best sandwiches. He wasn't wrong! The Tony Montana (Cuban) is excellent and the fried sweet plantains are delicious! My first and not my last visit to Smiley's.

What a nice surprise!!I've driven by this place 100 times and didn't notice it was separate to the mobile business next door!I found it thanks to YELP! they never lead me wrong.Cute little funky place, not much seating inside. I ordered pick up through the yelp app and it was ready way quicker than estimated! Sandwich was killer! Awesome dressing, meat was flavorful. Can't wait to come back and try something else.

I had a half hour lunch from class and chose to grab lunch here since it was close to the college and it had great reviews. Super small area, there were only two small tables to sit at. All of it was occupied with people waiting for their sub. This is definitely not a place to eat at since it's just so small and not much to look at. I went here at 11:30a and place has people waiting for their subs to be made. I figured I'd order and wait too since how long does it really take to make a sub? I noticed that a couple people who ordered after me got their orders before I did. Sooo I was getting getting tired of waiting. Time was passing slowly and I was getting pretty frustrated- I finally accepted I was going to be late for class but I didn't want to leave since I already paid. I waited a total of 35 minutes until my sub is ready. I took it quickly and drove back to class and ate my sub. The sub was huge, and it was actually so good! It was definitely two meals in one sub.

I recently visited Gulfport and as Z as lunch time approached I asked a passerby to recommend a restaurant. Her choice was Smiley's Deli so I saw through Yelp they were 10 minutes away. I headed straight to Central, a block from 34th Street. The menu is Latin themed with choices of freshly cooked chicken, pork, roast beef, turkey. Hot & cold subs. Homemade soup, delicious empanadas, salads, with desserts like tres leches and flan. My choice was chicken, rice and red beans. Mouth watering comfort food! Prices are extremely affordable! Worth a visit. Call for take out or delivery. This is one time I'm glad I listened to a restaurant recommendation.

To say the food at Smiley's Deli is delicious is an understatement! We each tried the Salchi Papi, Plato de la casa, Tony Montana and El Smiley and everything was so scrumptious. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The rice and beans were so flavorful and well cooked. Definitely coming back!

Where to begin? I had heard so much about this place, so I had to try it. Do note this was a to-go order and was delivered via Seamless. On order: Yellow rice and beans with roasted chicken and three (3) sides of plantain. The good: Lots of shredded chicken, and it was seasoned well. The bad: Someone packed the food in a very sloppy manner. The sauce from the beans was spilling into the bag; plantains came wrapped in the foil. The ugly: Too much oil. $4.50 for barely five decent pieces of plantain? Outrageous. The rice was mushy and tasteless. Verdict: I don't see myself making another order from this place.
