My husband and I ate dinner tonight and it's hands-down the best food we've had at any restaurant ever! The fish and scallops were cooked to perfection and the sides were fantastic. I don't always eat the sides, but these could not be left behind! Flavors were amazing. The restaurant is very clean and the server, Dan, was awesome! We are travelling, but plan to return before going home. Go - you will NOT be disappointed!

The seafood is wonderful! As someone from Maryland I particularly love the authentic Maryland style crab cakes. The chef also knows how to prepare fresh fish three different ways. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Always a great experience!

You know that feeling when you leave a restaurant saying "boy that was good." "That's going on my list of places to return to." "That was really worth the money." Raging Reif is one of those places. My wife got the coconut poke pecan Crusted grouper and it was phenomenal. A sweet and spicy combination of tastes and a firm crust with a delicious perfectly cooked piece of fish inside, accompanied by a mixed salad with green beans and rice and beans. I had the jumbo lump crabcakes They were very good, with firm chunk of grab and, a delicious tartar sauce. But I've had crabcakes before. I hadn't had the coconut pecan crusted grouper. I think she out ordered me. even with the delicious crabcakes, the side dish that I keep thinking about is the coleslaw, fresh crisp, and flavorful with a special ingredient that you can ask Dan, our waiter about. It's a relatively small restaurant, maybe 10 tables, but you can make reservations. Service prompt and friendly, Dan took pride in the menu. Will repeat!

Small, clean and friendly place with excellent tasty food. Seafood was great and all four of us loved our entrees. If you want boring chain food this is NOT your place, but if you want great tasty food give this place a try. Highly recommended.Dietary restrictions: Made gluten free for one in our party

This place is small and easy to miss. It is in the same plaza as Carmelita's Mexican restaurant, which has a bigger sign.We both thought the food was excellent. The service was also great. It's not fine dining. More like fried seafood baskets. Did seem a little expensive for that. One complaint I do have is closing at 8 PM. We got there at 7:30 PM. And I felt like we were rushing through our dinner so they could close. I didn't even finish half a beer. Typically, I would like to chill, have a few beers, and then have my dinner. Most restaurants want that since there's more profit in alcohol than food.

The best new seafood restaurant on park street over by North Lealman. Worth the price. Food was great. Real Maryland crabs and Prince Edward Island muscles. So tender and well seasoned. Very fresh.

A favorite thing to do at home, or when we travel, is to eat, and eat well. Some favorite spots are in Charleston SC, Savannah GA, and good ol Nawlins. The scallops we're perfectly cooked, a super fresh vegetable side, and the rice and beans seasoned just right. Here's the topper, it was a good friend's birthday and the chef served a marvelous bread pudding! I've been thinking about since this afternoon, and seriously, I haven't had any as good as this since Desire in the NOLA 30 years ago. Service was extremely good since we were a group of 7 ! It's a wonderful place, with an original, creative, and friendly chef!

Great Food, but the Rest Falls a Bit ShortRagin’ Reef has the food down pat. The menu is not overly long, which is a good sign. Keep it simple and excel with those things—and that’s what Ragin’ Reef does. The calamari app and the cream of crab soup were great. I loved my fried oyster entrée. The accompanying Cole slaw was bland and I enlivened it with some salt and vinegar. The grouper with the coconut pecan crust was very good and the accompanying rice and green beans were great. Portions were generous. The restaurant is in a down-at-heels plaza and neighbors “Magic Massage.” The atmosphere is typical beach kitsch. Apparently, reservations would have been good on a Friday evening, but nothing on their website suggests that. Service was good. I don’t know if it was our server’s or the kitchen’s fault, but the entrees came out when we were barely into our appetizers. I hate that. Otherwise, our server was good, filling water and checking back with us regularly. The drinks list was weak—bland looking house wines. OK, they don’t have full liquor. But zhuzh up the options with better wines and sangria or other wine-based drinks. Finally, a 4% credit card fee is unconscionable. I know that margins can be tight, but they probably pay a 2.5-3% fee. So why charge us 4%?With such good food Ragin’ Reef needs to work on all the rest to match. Overall, I was tempted to give them 3 stars, but the fried oyster made me generous.

Hubby had oysters and I had shrimp. Both were excellent, fresh & tender. But the bread pudding we brought home for later was the best I’ve ever had! Dan, our waiter was very attentive and kind. A perfect experience. We’ll be back!Wheelchair accessibility: Small restaurant but easily accessible & waitstaff helped!
