The best food I’ve had since I moved back to st.Pete 5 years ago. If you want something that hasn’t been whitewashed and gentrified to accommodate people who think onions are spicy, please go here. The ambiance fits the price point, we got two meals that were large enough to feed me fully twice and four drinks for like 40 bucks. Personally I would choose this over variegated monsteras. Anyway, thank you sid for reminding me that this is still a vibrant area if you check the holes in the wall.

I went to Sid’s not too long ago because I was craving some beef patty. That gets a 4 outta 5 rating. The pattys are top notch. The crust is real good and the meat is perfect but there’s not enough meat in patty! Today I got the j*** chicken and oxtail. IT CAME WITH FESTIVAL! It’s been sooo long since I’ve been back home to the island and the taste took me right back. Everything was great. The oxtail and the chicken and the rice and peas with the plantins and vegetables. If you want some real good Caribbean food, you won’t find much better in the area than Sid’s!

The flavor is on point. However, both the j*** chicken sandwich and the brown stew chicken were full of loose bones throughout which made it super awkward and to be honest gross to eat. I’m not talking thick bones either, like thin bones that can be a hazard when eating it.

Food was okay but they're very rude. They don't give you your receipt just give you prices without a menu to compare. They need to learn about customer service because it's not a big business.

Went here after seeing raving reviews of the taste of the food. I got the goat curry meal which came with goat curry, rice, cabbage, and plantains.The goat curry had really good flavor, but unfortunately a lot of it was big chunks of tough meat. The rice was delicious!The staff at the front was not the friendliest person I’ve encountered. Putting a friendly engaging staff at the front would definitely elevate the experience.Overall not a bad place, I would be back to try some of the other items.

Good food bad service. They have salads on their menu but it’s never available when you order. Order was wrong I asked for j*** pork and they gave me j*** chicken and dude behind the counter was rushing me to pay for my food when I was trying to get exact change for him (mind you I waited in line for 10-15 mins) i won’t be coming back.

I've lived in St. Pete for a little over a year now and just tried Sid's for the first time. I'm honestly upset that I didn't know about it sooner. The only time I come to this app usually is after a negative experience. This (I think) is the first time I've liked the food so much that I immediately leave a positive review . So, I'll definitely be back and recommending it.

had curry goat and a beef patty for lunch...of course had to get the ginger beer...it was fantastic...spice was right...best goat curry i have had in the area so far...perfectly cooked rice and peas...and the cabbage was a delicious break from the spice...thank you and blessings.

I actually found this place accidentally after the restaurant we were going to up the block was closed for a private event, but I’m so glad they were. I been looking for authentic Caribbean food since moving from Nyc to Fl. This spot definitely will be seeing allot more of me. I got the curry goat and my boyfriend got the oxtails. Both were amazing. Flavors was on point ! I would give you guys 10 stars if I could because even tho it was an hour til closing service was fast and the food was fresh! Can’t wait to visit again

Listen, I drove around Tampa and St. Petersburg looking for my people's food, and one after the other these restaurants disappointed me - to the point, my daughter didn't want to eat any more Jamaican food. Sid's Caribbean Grill saved the day! Flavor-full and a big dinner portion. I will gladly recommend this place and will revisit everytime I am in town.

Had to hit this spot up again. It’s excellent. He gave us an order stewed chicken to sample! I WILL be ordering that next time. Had a flavor that I’ve never tasted. It was delicious. Don’t worry about the wait. The food will be excellent.
