We went for brunch on a Sunday late morning. Mistake. Nevermind the parking lot a complete disaster with everyone trying to get access to the beach the restaurant itself is beyond underwhelming. We ordered mimosas right away and I had three of them spilled on me by our waitress. Ok, accidents happen but what do you think protocol should be for soaking a patron in orange juice? Whoops, sorry, let me take that drink off your bill? Anyone? Anything? Nope. Then 3 of the 5 meals we ordered came out wrong. And it only took 45 minutes to get out food! Wow... Save your money and your time and go somewhere else.

Food was not good, and they have a system of no hosteses seating you, though they have one there. Basically, you find your own seating, which is basically impossible, especially on busy days. Simply put, you walk around like an idiot trying to find a dignified spot to sit and eat with your family. After searching rigorously for 20 minutes, we finally settled on the side, away from the crowd and overlooking the docks. They were incredibly understaffed. We had to stand at the bar to place our order for 5 people(30 minutes waiting to order)-the very nice bartender was slammed and obviously trying to juggle bar and table orders and deliver them too.My family and I kept asking ourselves; why would anyone come here and subject themselves to this? It's a bizarre system that I find to be primitive and ineffective. But, hey, some people will pay extra for a hassle full dining experience-never again. In fairness, the atmosphere was alive, and the setting was great, if only we didn't have to seat ourselves, order from the bar ourselves, had better tasting food, and the restaurant was efficiently staffed. Conclusion: not even close to worth it..save yourself the time and trouble.

The Getaway is a gem. The improvements they've made in the last year have really elevated it to the next level. I love the staff, too. Zoe is THE BOMB!!

Beautiful spot, but the service was horrid. Took an hour and a half to get our food, and by the time it did come out I noticed my potatoes were cold. I wish I just got a drink and stayed for the aesthetic but the service and food was not worth the price.

This place is divine when it comes to atmosphere, butyou have to "find" your own seating! The food, however, is a different story. Don't be hungry, there was an hour wait. No worries, we were told. Our coconut shrimp were overcooked. The lobster taco was so chewy and overcooked, I had to send it back and pass on the entry, because there was no way I was waiting another hour for another taco. Our drinks weŕe completely watered-down. The salad had no dressing because.....they ran out!4 people in our party, one alcoholic beverage $200!I'm sure this place doesn't have regulars...If I go back I'll sneak in my own sandwich and enjoy the vibe. ?

Atmosphere is great. Truly beautiful place. But seating is a free for all. No reservations or hostess seating. So you just have to be a vulcher, and find a seat. Couldn't find a spot after a couple laps. So we left. Too bad.

Eat before you go and don’t expect any service. The atmosphere was nice though.

Open seating on a Saturday at 12:00 is a ridiculous ask. I wouldn’t mind waiting, but having to walk the entirely full restaurant and scout out a table like a hawk is crazy. Also awkwardly lingering around for a table is ridiculous.

Terrible, terrible food. Poor quality fish (seemed re-heated). Tough to the bite and cold by the time it arrived. Really cheap, again seemed microwaved rice. Rubbery prawns. Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares would have a field day here!! Totally over priced for some very poor quality food. I had a clam chowder soup to start (powdery, lukewarm) served in such a shallow bowl it was basically a plate. For the main I had paella, the worst I’ve ever had. Hard, rubbery prawns, chewy rice and over cooked fish of some description. The only thing that got me through the night were three margaritas. These helped numb the pain of a disaster of an experience. No doubt this is a great location, but with a C team in the kitchen and the lowest grade ingredients don’t expect a delicious meal.

Stephanie was an amazing bartender and had such a great time with tasty food and great drinks. Definitely recommend and will visit again. We even saw dolphins and a spoonbill bird.

Awesome place. We sat for about 25 minutes before a server came to us. They weren't busy and I had to go talk to somebody but once we had a server it was great. Food was awesome. Woulda been a 5/5 if it wasn't for the wait. Also kinda expensive. $60 for two meals and an appetizer.
