My fiancee and I were in the mood for something light for dinner. We agreed a salad was just what we wanted. I googled St Petersburg salad and Toss Salad appeared in the search result. We were fortunate enough to find on street parking in the front( I'm not sure if there was a parking lot). I ordered the Big Daddy and he ordered the Southwestern. The staff was friendly and polite and we watched as they prepared our salads. It reminded me of a Japanese chef where they do the chopping and prep right in front of you. Both salads were huge and delicious .

Cross contamination is an issue if you don't specify that they use a clean chopper for a vegan salad.Vegetarian options: They can make your order vegan but they used the same chopper that they use for cutting up salads with dead animals in it.

Toss was an amazing place for lunch in the Saint Petersburg area. Clean and casual. It is a quick service restaurant where you ordered at the counter and watched your salad be made. The bowls can be taken to go or for dining in. You can choose your bowl to be a salad or have it made into a rap. The salad concept is very cool. You can pick from pre selected vasels or builds, I picked the build mail based on modifying a free selective salad. The base was plentiful with lots of toppings. Then it was finally chopped with a blend of dressings picked by me. It was perfection. Everybody in our party really enjoyed their lunch, even the little ones. They don't have a kid's menu, but my kids are in later elementary school and eat pretty well. The service is very good; friendly and patient. I would definitely come again

I do not know what they put in these little salads for them to have such a chokehold on me, but I am hooked! I get the southwestern with only Romaine, no iceberg, and everything else as it comes every single time. And it is just so good. I have resorted to trying to make them at home and it just does not hit the same. I grabbed the salad today for lunch and for the first time there was a long line, but it moved pretty swiftly which I could appreciate. I typically will take my salad back to the office and eat my desk but sometimes I sit outside on the patio and enjoy my lunch while I people watch . Great location great vibes great service.

The service was top-notch...so friendly and helpful! The ingredients were all fresh (both visits), and the variety is fantastic. There are numerous options for vegan and vegetarian diets, too. The next time we visit St. Petes, we'll return to Toss!

Had to wait, had a regular salad with other items, and was able to build my own was great price. But the only downside is that there was only one person trying to do all the orders, this was at lunch time was very busy.
