Great value, friendly service and an abundance of yummy choices. They really hustle to get tables cleaned and ready so your not waiting long.

Well had some out of town guests come in and when they were here 3 years ago they love the City Diner of Stuart so I told him okay we'll go there but I bet you'll change your opinion of the place. We got to the place and of course the service is getting slower and slower. Had to send two items back because it wasn't made correctly. They wanted to try the desserts since it said that all the desserts are made in-house with an on-site Bakery chef. They walked up to the case to look to see what they get and my friend said those aren't homemade those are store-bought cakes with the papers in between it and the cheesecake, my 13-year-old can make a better looking cheesecake than what I just saw in the case. I asked the waitress if I can speak to the bakery chef if he or she is on duty and my server said we haven't had a bakery shift here since July. I said why does the menu say you do? And she told me, that the new operations director put that in there. She also told me that over half the stuff is coming from food truck companies. I am so disappointed in this place. I do not understand why they say they have a chef on duty and they don't. I don't understand that they say they bake all their stuff on site, and they don't. My out of town guest asked me what happened to the place and I told him I just don't know it just got real bad real quick. So now they believe me and they now will not come back to this place. I warned them. but they had to see it for themselves. See the bakery display case below and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'd give negative stars if I could, terrible food, even worse service. Management doesn't care and they are RUDE

I made the mistake and went to this place a second time. What an awful decision! Ordered the French Dip, it was a salt lick!!! There just isn't anything else I can say how bad it was. I had to track down my waiter all the time, no idea what they were up to. I'm shocked this place is still open. Save your money. Stay home with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I definitely won't be back.

The phone to this place isn't working... and neither is the on line ordering. They know about it... but not to concerned about it! Terrible way to do business... especially since the food is very good!!!

Food is always great. Service always great. Cheese fries .....HORRENDOUS How do we pay 8.79$ x2 for online order for cheese fries and you simply sprinkle cheese on it and they become hard as a rock. Diner cheese fries have liquid cheese. This is not even edible. . I give 4 stars bc their other menu items are great.

Great food, great service, good prices, open late. Classic diner feel. What more could I ask for?

We (4) arrived around 6:45 Friday evening. Was a bit busy, but we were greeted and seated promptly. Service was very attentive. Our waitress was very cordial. Our meals came out pretty quick to my surprise. I had fish and chips and substituted delicious roasted veggies instead of fries at no additional cost. On hand was Patricia the manager overseeing the restaurant and thats what these places need. She made sure all the servers were on their game and helped out where needed . Now that's how you run an airline. All our meals were excellent and didn't break the bank. We will be back soon

The food has only ever been average at best. Last week I was only given 1 slice of toast with my breakfast and this week I went in , there were only a half a dozen tables with people at them and at least 6 or more servers. After 10 minutes not one of them waited on me while all them walked right past me. I will never waste my time here again, too many other choices in Stuart.

City Diner is the perfect spot for a great breakfast. Also tasty Greek food such as souvlaki and gyros. Service is always fast and friendly. Love that it is open 24 hours. Have been here several times and recommend it highly!!!!

City diner of Stuart is a great place to eat breakfast lunch or dinner at any time. Family atmosphere, staff is pleasant and accommodating. Melanie and Tiffany are the best servers/supervisors and can handle many tables at once. Their takeout is fast and easy the menu has something for everyone's taste.

I was a little skeptical because of some recent negative reviews, but this place was awesome! We went as a group of 40 (including fifteen 10 year olds here for the Babe Ruth World Series) and we were met with great food and even better service. Jill was especially attentive and so nice throughout our dinner. We sat outside in great weather. It couldn't have been nicer. Thanks, City Diner for adding to this memorable trip for our softball team and families!

My family was craving the once fabulous deserts that they had (amazing cheesecake) we drove from North St lucie to Stuart for the treat . We arrived at around 1130 pm and found the dessert case nearly empty with different anemic looking pieces of cheesecake. We asked our server what had changed and was told a story that the pastry chef had left because the 80 year old man had felt he had been insulted because he was making too much food and it was spoiling. Apparently management decided to have deserts brought in form "a factory". We ordered two pieces of plain cheesecake to share amongst us. When my sons bit in, both immediately spit the bite back out. Thinking that my boys might have been being dramatic. I took a bite myself and immediately spit it into a napkin. The cheesecake they were now serving, tasted like you were chewing on a set of car keys. The taste was disgusting. It was not plain cheesecake. It had been flavored with some thing that tasted like rotten lemon. When our server came back a few minutes later, and by a few I mean 15. I asked if she was open to feedback and I told her the best thing that they could do would be to take every single piece of that and throw it away immediately that something was drastically wrong with it. The response that I got was oh management knows they absolutely know. She was kind enough to take it off of our bill and apologize I am just curious why the management at this location thinks that it's OK to go from some thing that was absolutely fabulous to something. Absolutely disgusting and expect your customers to pay for it. When all four people at a table sample a bite of what you're offering and all four people tell you that it is absolutely the worst thing they have ever tasted. That might be a cue to take immediate action. Honestly, I doubt that I will make the drive of half an hour to return.
