Pulled up to this small establishment, wanted to go in and place an order. No option. This place looks too shady.

I had the pleasure of visiting this local hidden gem of Sunrise restaurant after reading rave reviews online by other customers. I was in the area driving home and I said to myself why not drop by and see how the food is. This is a typical "hole in the wall" family style run business, so here is my honest review. I often like to visit new locally operated businesses and give them some much needed support. However, I cannot say the food matched all my expectations. I understand restaurants cook to meet the general tastes of public and cannot suit each individual tastes. I will say the lady answering the phone and the front door was very nice. The contactless pickup window was a little odd (think of a bank teller where you open a little door to get your item and a little opening to put the money) but was acceptable given the pandemic times the owners are trying to mitigate. The fried rice smelled great and had lots of meat. The taste was a solid "A" with a clean light soy sauce flavor that was not overpowering. I think the master chef made this dish. The next item I ordered was boneless ribs, but I think they gave me sliced roast pork instead as the meat had zero fat at all. The taste was OK, I would tell the side dish master to add a little more sugar to the sauce. Udon noodles with pork was too salty for my taste, and could have used more veggies, again my personal preference. Moo shu pork was good, lots of veggies and meat. I think it would be better if they used authentic Moo shu pancakes instead of tortilla wrappers but I guess it's hard to stock and source authentic items all the times. Chicken wings were also very flavorful and packed with crunch, however I think the oil pan master was not working today otherwise he would have known to change the oil. The batter tasted a bit old. Lastly, the Mongolian Beef had lots of beef with some onions and scallions coated in a medium spicy sauce that was quite good. Another dish made by the master chef. Overall, not a bad place. Could they use some improvements? Sure. I'm hoping that if the owner or whoever has read this review to this point noticed that I referenced some other reviewers and this was a lighthearted post to highlight some finer points of this establishment.

Horrible experience , first time ordering from here I ordered honey garlic chicken and was expecting chicken wings as well as the honey garlic sauce that normally comes with it and that was not the case. Ordered online and the food came which was chicken nuggets with vinegar smelling garlic juice that was thin like actual vinegar. Called the restaurant to explain the problem and they stated it was correct and this is what the food is , I stated I will bring back the food to correct it or order something else for the same price. First they said okay, I got in an Uber and once I get there it’s “ I need to call customer service to have them give me $10 back in 5-7 business days “ !! It was NEVER about the money. They NEVER specified the difference on the website and was not accommodating AT ALL when they obviously seen how upset I was.- response to comment from restaurant : doesn’t matter ! i ordered honey garlic chicken and what you provided is not what other restaurants/buffets give. it is NOT honey garlic chicken regardless , the chicken nuggets could have had the CORRECT sauce on it and I would have ate it . but instead you guys use garlic juice and gave me DRY chicken nuggets . and it DOES NOT clarify that on the website . you took the food back and didn’t offer me a refund , you came back and showed me a receipt of the refund ONLINE DID that I DID NOT ASK FOR . the whole purpose of going to your restaurant was to get food for the same price i ordered or you could have refunded me in cash , regardless if i paid online because I am a first time customer . so like i said not accommodating at all and wasn’t professional because i still left with no food and no refund TODAY. why am i waiting 5-7 business days for $10?!

Order delivery, we're very happy with the quality and taste. Food was delivered timely matter. We'll be reordering.

Should change the name to CRAPPY WOK. Literally the worst Chinese takeout I have ever eaten. The chicken was tasteless and the vegetables were hard(undercooked). The egg rolls smelled like eggs(rotten). Even the fortune cookies were stale. Nice people with a cute little kid to charm you at the window. Don't be fooled, this place is nasty

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This was the most overpriced bland Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered honey garlic chicken and was not given any sauce at all. Pork fried rice had no flavor and like 2 pieces of pork. Chicken wings tasted old and the egg rolls tasted uncooked they were mushy inside. I will never be returning here even if it was free.

Huge fan of the place. Great service, the restaurant owners and the servers are super nice. Their food is some of the best I've had in the area. My favorite is chicken with broccoli, and pepper shrimp. I have recommended the place to all my friends already and they all love it! Highly recommend!!!

Bad food, bad service and a bunch of excuses of why their food is skimpy and not good, never coming back, there is many better places in sunrise. I ordered the lunch special I was expecting to get pork fried rice with chicken and broccoli. Instead I got plain rice with loads of broccoli and two small pieces of chicken. When I called to inform them the lady on the phone was very rude and told me to order something else next time instead of practicing customer service. This was my first and last time ordering from these ppl

I am a huge fan of Burmese food - Burma Superstar is one of my fave restaurants, but it's a bit far. I heard that Happy Wok Sunrise has Burmese food, as well as Thai and Chinese food, so we went here for dinner one night. The service here is really great - but the food was just okay. We got the tea leaf salad, the pumpkin tofu (it's pumpkin chicken on the menu, but we subbed out the meat for tofu), the roti, and the pad see ew noodles.

Tried calling several times. I live right by. No one answered. Ridiculous. Had to take my money elsewhere. Don't bother with this place.

I ordered Chicken Chow Mein BUT with Pork Fried Rice instead of White Rice. The lady owner asked if I wanted the Combination platter and I said No because during early Pandemic when I ordered food the Pork fried rice came with barely any pork in the combination platter and when I called to complain then the same lady (OWNER) explained that her food delivery from large manufacturers were minimal, which was very understandable. She advised me to get Pork fried rice in future orders as quarts, pints or regular orders, in which the rice comes with more pork in it. Following her advise I ordered a few more times, but most orders were Chicken Wings with French fries or Honey Wings and fries. I rarely had a problem except when they charge for extra pork in rice, because I know with years of experience from ordering from them that they use a nice amount of pork. TODAYS ORDER: I went forward with the Chicken Chow Mein with PINT OF Pork fried rice because she reminded me that the combination platter only comes with very little pork in rice. I ordered Chicken Chow Mein and a PINT OF PORK FRIES RICE. SHE ADVISED IT WOULD BE DELIVERED ABOUT 55 MINUTES. My order came with MICRO PIECES OF PORK IN IT. I called to explain my concern on the rice due to her advise to get regular order of pork fried rice INSTEAD OF COMBINATION PLATER ( that comes with minimal amounts of pork) and the lady OWNER kept saying that I complain always, kept talking over to me to DONT ORDER HERE AGAIN and hung the phone. I called again to tell her of the amount of pork was MICRO SIZE AFTER SHE ADVISED ME TO BY REGULAR PINT OR QUART SIZE THAT HAS PORK, and AND I WANTED TO SPEAK WITH OWNER, SHE SAID AHE WAS THE OWNER AND SHE HANGED UP THE PHONE AGAIN. CALLED A THIRD TIME AND NO ANSWER-***( I FIGURED I CAN CALM HER DOWN AND ME TION OUR PREVIOUS GOOD BUSINESS:CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP OF MANY YEARS.) The lady owner of HAPPY WOK from 4-5 years ago that I’ve done business with, was a nice lady. Very kind and loving, but I strongly believe due to PANDEMIC and financial impacts on small businesses that they may be still struggling. It doesn’t give them a reason to discredit ANY paying customer that she hangs up and yells even after she’s being questioned about what SHE ADVISED WOULD BE THE BEST ORDER OF RICE FOR PORK AMOUNTS. SHE hanged up again. I advise that Not to order Pork fried rice because there is literally no pork in it. If I could Forward a picture of what they send. The BBB and local customers would stop doing business with them because OVERALL: WE ALL ARE STRUGGLING IN THESE TIMES BUT IT DOESNT GIVE ANYONE THE RIGHT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OTHERS SO THAT HAPPY WOK CAN GET AHEAD.I STRONGLY ADVISE THE LADY OWNER TO Please take time and understand that in a business we must resolve the best way possible and if you can’t, then go forward or suggest another option on menu, BUT NEVER HANG UP ON A CUSTOMER UNLESS THEY ARE DISRESPECTFUL. I BELIEVE SHE CAN NOT DEAL WITH THE PRESSURE FROM DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS. WITHOUT US CUSTOMERS, THERE WOULD BE NO HAPPY WOK.I AM A MARRIED WOMEN OF 11 CHILDREN (all grown now) FROM ONE HUSBAND- SO I KNOW WHAT PRESSURE IS AND FEAR OF FINANCIAL SETBACKS OR FAILURE MEAN. I HOPE YOU READ THIS AND ALLOW IT TO HAVE YOU INTROSPECT ON THE REAL REASON WHY YOU HAVE CHANGE TO WHAT THE SEVERAL BAD REVIEWS I HAVE READ OF YOU AND YOUR DISREGARD TO CUSTOMERS COMPLAINTS. AND YOUR WAY OF DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS SINCE THE PANDEMIC I WISH HAPPY WOK BETTER TIMES AND HOPE SHE CAN GO BACK TO THE NICE LADY OWNER SHE WAS BEFORE THIS PANDEMIC THAT FINANCIALLY HURT THE ENTIRE WORLD- NOT JUST HER BUT WE ALL STRUGGLE. GOOD LUCK .NOT AN ANGRY CUSTOMER BUT CONCERNED FOR OTHERS AND HAPPY WOK”S CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LOCAL RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES.TO YOUR REPLY:HOW MOST CUSTOMERS HAVE THE PROBLEM, YOU CARRY THE LICENSE YOU WORK ALL DAY UP ALL NIGHT TO WRITE A BOOK. NEED PEOPLE TO HEAR YOU LITERALLY EXPLAINING YOU BELIEVE I AM THE PROBLEM AND MANY OTHERS WHO WROTE REVIEW AND 5 YEARS YOU SERVE ME SO AM I WHAT YOU SAY NO IM NOT YOU LIE ON BAD REVIEWS ITS SAD

It was great. Good food good price

The fried rice was not good, had a funky taste to it. The orange beef was mushy and not properly seasoned. For the price of the meals, I would think it would be top quality.

We've been ordering from here since we moved in 6 years ago. Used to love their veggie fried rice. But lately thats not even as good quality and they short you on the Broccoli. Just placed an order since before Covid and they closed off the doors put a man made drive thru window. They left me outside waiting like 8 to 10 more minutes, and didn't even say thank you, just a thumbs up. They raised their prices too, haven't seen that especially during these hard times. A baby was crying the whole time I was waiting outside and the bill was over 18$ for general tso chicken and smallest fried rice. Only to find that i couldn't even eat the fried rice because after I ordered pork fried rice, they sold me the more expensive rice, their house fried rice with shrimp. I am highly allergic to shrimp. Last time i order. Sorry owners, you should get better through time not worsen.
