Highly recommended being in the mall, since other restaurants either had exorbitant prices or did not have the quality of this one or both. .

Matchbox at Sunrise is pretty close to being the worst restaurant in south Florida. It all started with the spoiled tuna we were served. Our server seemed to try her best, but the experience just kept getting worse. I strongly suggest that you do not go there. Sawgrass offers many more excellent restaurants. Sadly, Matchbox is NOT one of them!

The service was very mediocre. We sat at a booth in the bar section and the bartender served us. He was really slow and there were times where we didn't even see him anywhere. I ordered a beer and didn't ever receive it; however, it wasn't on the bill either. The food was mad quickly which was fantastic. The pizza is always good and that's why I keep coming back. The place was a little loud and that's maybe why the bartender didn't hear my beer order. The water glasses were also slow in being refilled. I wish they would bring back the brunch box on the weekend. It was the best deal in town!

I just wanted to say that although I am a regular customer and I have never had any complaints about the restaurant's service, I have to emphasize that it was taken care of by a young woman who was training called Anna and has taken care of me as if I were part of her family. She did not miss any detail that I might need. She recommended a nice meal. For a person like her, we repeat again.

We ordered the fish and chips, BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Bistro Burger, and the Matchbox Meat Pizza, which I had. To go along with the pizza, I drank a non-alcoholic dragonfruit mojito.Overall, the food was delicious and full of flavor. In addition, service was great. If you’re ever at Sawgrass Mills Mall and you’re looking for something good to eat, I suggest going there.

Five minutes later we left.I don't know what is going on at this restaurant, but the systemic decline across the board no longer warrants my business.I'd stay away. This Matchbox restaurant is conveniently located in Sunrise next to the Sawgrass Mall and has plenty of seating options . My family was in town visiting from out of state so we decided to meet for lunch. We were a group of 17 and were accommodated in a large room that was very spacious. The restaurant’s menu featured a variety of items to choose from. I ordered the Pan seared scallops and although the presentation was beautiful, this dish lacked in flavor. I had to request salt but by the time the salt shaker arrived I had already eaten my dish as I didn’t want it to get cold. Other items that we ordered were the meatball appetizers, pizzas, grilled cheese sandwiches, baby back ribs, mini burgers, chicken sandwiches, calamari and garlic rolls and plenty of cocktails. Most of the dishes were delicious, especially the pizza and rolls.My biggest complaint however was the lack of service. Although we were a large group ( 17 people) we were only given one server, unfortunately I don’t remember his name but he was very friendly and as attentive as he he could be but some of my guests didn’t get their food until others had finished their meals. Drinks ordered had to be requested several times as our server kept running back and forth trying to check on all of our food orders. And some dishes were brought out as duplicates while other dishes were not brought out at all. My complaint is not about my server in particular but on the lack of supporting help! The restaurant was at less than 50% occupancy ( 2pm on a Saturday) and we were the only party using the large indoor dining space. What made this visit even more frustrating was to see several Waite staff standing around the hostess table chatting as we were leaving. I’m a resident of this area and was embarrassed that my guests experienced such a disappointing experience!
