Farwell Captain D'sThe only reason I came here in the first place was to get what reminded me of LJS's Battered Cod. You don't have it any more ... and I won't be back until you have cod again.Update Jan 19, 2024 ..The battered fish is NOT COD. I don't know what it is, but it isn't cod. It's not good. It tastes muddy. I couldn't eat it all.Update May 30, 2022. Oops! They are slipping. Already cooked before I ordered. The fish I got tasted considerably worse than the time before. One of the pieces I'm not sure wad even fish. The fish I was served did not taste the same as before. If this continues, I will not be back. One more try and I'm done.Batter Fried Cod cooked fresh, hot, and fast! Nuff said?!

I went to this restaurant last Saturday evening because I really wanted some fish. However, the young lady was rude until I ended up leaving with nothing. She really needs customer service training, and she also needs to learn how to be tactful when answering the customer's questions.

I’m absolutely blown away. almost five bucks and pathetic order of clams. not only is it hardly any food, its GOT NO CLAMS!!! tried to contact management. corporate has some stupid e form. their classic fish is good but dang!!! no wonder why it has 3 stars and the place is empty. this place wont last! period!!! all batter no clam! sorry pathetic portion!!! embarrassing. the people that run this CONpany should be ashamed!!! look at the photo where i cut the clam strips in half! not a single bit of clam meat!

I have been to several different captain D’s in several different states and several different cities. This was the worst fast food experience I have ever had in my life. Not only were all three staff members extremely rude, but the manager was not there and her assistant manager kept shouting how she hadn’t been there for over 30 minutes. I purchased the salmon dinner and there wasn’t even enough rice for the bottom of the plate. When I said that, I would just be happy with a refund all three employees shouted “oh Lord”. I’m sure that I don’t need to explain to anyone the shouting oh Lord in a condescending way to a customer is rude. I waited inside for around seven minutes. The assistant manager said to the cook, whose pants were sagging, so he had to keep pulling them up, “I talked to her. She said she wanted a refund. I did my job.”On top of all of that, the manager never showed up. I already know at least 15 people that refuse to go to this specific captain D’s. Now I see why.This incident happened Wednesday, 29 November 2023. I will be filing a formal complaint.

I went by Arby’s picked up a sandwich for my wife took maybe 3 minutes through the drive thru. Then go to captain d’s I arrive wait behind 2 trucks eventually they both are allowed to place their orders so we get to the menu and are asked to wait. Already waited 10 minutes just to pull up to place an order then I wait another 30 there are now 5 cars behind us and we have not been allowed to place an order. I politely let her know I am tired of waiting and there are 5 cars behind me. She then tells me she is worked alone by herself and that the customers inside have informed her already. So me and my 2 and 4 year old leave the store devastated that we did not get any fish. In addition the 2 trucks were nowhere to be seen as we pulled around so there really was no reason for the wait other than the lack of staff. Owner or whomever replies to these things save your time and don’t bother trying to give me a freebie we don’t want it. I will give you some good advice go to the Monroe st captain d’s and put on an apron and get to work!
