The food tastes good the first time but not so much as I have been regurgitating it this afternoon. I also Found a small piece of glass in my rice and stopped eating at that point.

We moved to Tallahassee a couple of years ago and were not very impressed with sushi we had tried at a couple of other places. Last night, we tried Hasu Sushi & Grill for the first time, and we were thrilled to find a great sushi restaurant right in our neighborhood! The food was delicious, prices were reasonable, and the server was friendly. We'll be back!

First time trying Hasu today, and I gotta say as someone who grew up in an Asian-majority area, the food was fantastic. The chef clearly knew how to properly prepare sushi and nigiri. The sushi rice was room-temperature and perfect, and the slices of fish were generous, fresh, and properly sliced. I also tried another restaurant’s sushi which was a bit more pricey nearby but you can clearly tell that Hasu’s sushi was made by a sushi chef while the other restaurant’s wasn’t.Some negative reviews on here complain about the menu and staff. First off, you really only need common sense to figure out that the deluxe sushi sets which come with sushi and a roll are not, in fact, all rolls of cooked sushi. If that were the case, they would state that the deluxe sushi set was an order of several listed sushi rolls. If you are still unsure, ASK the staff before you order. It is that simple.Secondly, people complain about the ‘rude’ staff. People in the area apparently do not understand how different cultures act differently; not everyone is smiley and chatty like Americans are. Sure there are off days, but if you’re nice to the staff, they’ll be nice to you.

Staff were very polite and attentive. Got the shrimp tempura bento for lunch. Everything was cooked perfectly and was crispy. Salad tasted very fresh! You get a lot of food for around $12.

Just updating my review. As always the food was great. Note to self, not good for parties larger than 4. Service was friendly but really slow today...short on staff.

Everything has always been wonderful! Highly recommend! Stuffed grouper and red eye coffee rubbed rib eye are our favorites.

How this restaurant doesn’t have higher than a 4.3 rating is beyond me. I can’t think of a single bad thing to say about this place. The chef(s) do not cut any corners at all to ensure their dishes are prepared authentically. Everything is cooked perfectly and all the ingredients are very fresh every time we’ve come. Even a small side of noodles is fried perfectly to order (not sitting in a tub waiting for you.) The fried rice is served equally well. And don’t get me started on the sushi, it’s so fresh, just take a look behind the bar if you don’t believe me. Not only is it delicious but all of the fish is prepared so beautifully! By far the best sushi in town, and we’ve been to more sushi restaurants than I can remember.AND I love the atmosphere, it feels like stepping inside something from the Yakuza series, for such a small restaurant they did great. This has quickly become our favorite restaurant. Color me impressed.Side note: eat your noodles fresh! They’re best if you don’t let them sit in a takeout container any longer than they need to.

Their food is very good. The sushi is excellent. The owners are such nice people. They have a few tables for sit down service as well as take out. We recently moved here from Raleigh and tried a few places before we found Hasu and we are glad we did.
