In biz since 1969...not under original ownership now. Unfortunately the quality of BBQ has become average from a can or bag I suspect. I don't smell any wood burning or see any smokers around parking lot like the old days when I visited often in early 70s.I still love it's simplicity and nostalgia of memories in Tally. Service was good and quick.

Looking for a good barbecue restaurant with the old time taste of real barbecue and real barbecue sauce well you don't have to look no more trust me I love barbecue I research a lot of places and this is definitely on top of my list very well organized very fresh and hot very clean and very quick service prices are very reasonable I definitely recommend this particular restaurant if you haven't tried it yet you'll never go to nobody else

Came here for breakfast for the first time in over a decade. Most of the food was barely edible. Dry ham, gelatinous gravy, coffee that tasted like water. Plus side was an amazing an attentive waitress. Hoping the bbq is still good

The food and the service was great. The only downfall was that they were out of a couple of things for the day, including pork. Everytime we come here the food is great and service is quick and friendly.

My coworker and I went here for first time. The food was amazing, and the sweet tea was SWEET!! I got the chicken fried steak lunch special. It was a great price. That meal filled me up. I didn't eat dinner that night. The portions were amazing. The lady helping us was so sweet and nice. I wish I would've gotten her name to put on this post.

Pulled up for lunch and the parking lot was full, and I saw why. Very friendly staff, the pork sandwich was good- came sauce less, but there was sauce on the table with good flavor. The potato salad was delicious

My son just went to Jim & Milts for 1/2 chicken dinner and was told they were out of chicken. Is this going to be a trend?
Great service and even better bbq. Great for family get togethers or just a quick pick up for dinner.

Ordered hamburger steak. No gravy ????Butter packet had a hole in it and spilled all inside the plate . I specifically asked the waitress if corn was off the cobb and she said yes. Corn is obviously on the cobb.Fries and chicken breast had no seasoning at all.Waiting 25 minutes for this. Terrible experience and won't be coming back.I almost feel this was intentional .

Service was good, but food was a bit lack luster. I ordered the BBQ Beef plate with fried okra & baked beans. BBQ Beef was just well done roast beef with no real flavor(the sauce helped), baked beans were really good(like that they use onions).

Best breakfast in tallahassee, highly recommend the chicken biscuits. They are delicious and come with a honey butter sauce that is to die for. I can eat 4 of these chicken biscuits and since theyre only $2 and change its the perfect breakfast. I’ve never had bad food from this business, they really care about their customers. If I could go everyday I would. For the price, you’re never going to beat jim and milts

Food was very good and prices were very fair. The service could have been better. The waitress was very friendly, but once she brought our food to our table,I don't recall her making it back. Another waitress did come to our table to bring the check, and returned with a couple of items I'd asked for. There were plenty of waitresses, but they were up by the counter and not getting to the tables very often.In summary, very good food at very reasonable prices, very friendly servers, but not the greatest service. I would definitely return, as the good food and fair prices make up for the service, or lack thereof. And the service could have easily been a one time deal, as I'm from out of town and don't get to this establishment often.
