It smelled like throw up when I was there & the music is all over the place. Some of the security are rude as well. I won’t be back, there’s definitely better clubs in tally.

I guess I should have read all the previous bad reviews of the scam jobs being perpetrated on people who " buy" tables for the evening. We supposedly "purchased" a VIP table for $500 for our party of students and their parents last weekend for the 2023 FSU Parent's Weekend. My son has worked at Recess as security for the last year and a half. He was so excited to have the night off and super excited about getting a VIP table reserved. However, just like other reviews on here, we were contacted during the day prior to the reservation that our table had been "outbid" and we now needed to cough up $750 for that same table. Despite coming up with that ridiculous amount of money, we were booted out of our VIP table after 45 minutes and before we were even served any drinks by the supposed owner of the club. "Supposedly " he had paid $5000 for the table for his party of four. Our party of 14 was moved to a corner booth that didn't have enough seating for all of us by the direct walkway to the bar. People were running into us all night long. I asked over and over again to speak to the manager as we STILL had not received anything to drink after a two hour wait. No manager ever appeared and despite the fact that the drink girls assured us of a discount, it was only reduced to $662. This ruined my opinion of Recess and the way it operates. I will never step foot in this club again and I recommend the same to everyone else. The very worst part is that my son had to learn the hard way that rich guys with money can crap all over you and get away with it. That was the hardest thing for me to witness. His manager never addressed this with him afterwards, and certainly no one has apologized for the scam that they pulled. If they have NO QUALMS about treating their employees this way, BEWARE of spending a penny in this place.

Went here for my first time on 4th of July night. Cover was $10. Worth it for the great rooftop atmosphere, fun crowd and great music from the DJ. $10 Bacardi buckets are a great deal too. Only complaint I have is that the bartenders of the indoor bar were a little rude and disrespectful with attitude. There were at least 5 bartenders and it took them a while to get my attention for a drink. They constantly walked past me multiple times knowing that I was trying to get a drink and they were completely ignoring me right even after seeing me at the counter. They need to learn to be more attentive to their customers. When I finally got someone's attention, I ordered a redbull vodka. Thought I was gonna pay between $10-15 but was charged almost $20 for it cause he made it a double which I never even asked for, and I think the automatic 20% gratuity charge is a little ridiculous especially if you're ignored multiple times and having to tolerate disrespect just to get a drink and still having to tip after getting bad service like that? Train your bartenders to do better and not ignore a customer right in front of their face when they're not even serving anybody else. May or may not come back to this place because of the rude bartenders, but still give props for the good vibes crowd and atmosphere of the place.

Bartender charged another group's drinks to my card & never gave it back. Had to report it stolen.

The pool is absolutely disgusting I swear they never clean it and there is absolutely no room to walk they need to have a limit
last night i watched a girl get assaulted and multiple girls ended up yelling and cussing out this 30 year old man. A security guard saw this happening and then grabbed the girl that has been assaulted and said she needed to leave, instead of the man. The girls started cussing out the security guard saying he couldn't do that. He then proceeded to DAP UP the guy and laugh with him about the situation.

A security guard saw this happening and then grabbed the girl that has been assaulted and said she needed to leave, instead of the man. Be weary when coming to this place. Look at the bad reviews and take them seriously. I came here with 5 friends, we booked a table and they kicked me out immediately for dancing on the chairs of the table we just bought. I told them I was sorry and that it wouldn’t happen again (any club I’ve ever been to it’s never been a problem to do this) they refused and kicked me out after we had just spent around $1000 on our table. Entitled white girls who run the show here, I will never be back lol. Go see how a club works literally anywhere else and maybe y’all will be humbled. Worst experience I’ve ever had especially when booking a table & spending that kind of money. Seems to be a trend here based on reviews tho.
