Stopped at this cafe in Monticello on the way back to Tally and was not disappointed! They had tons of sandwich/burger options along with larger entrees and seafood. They are allergy friendly - if you are dairy, gluten, or meat free they have lots of options for you (not something I always expect in a small southern town). I got the portobello burger and my boyfriend had the fried chicken. Both were great, and I can honestly say it was the best fried chicken I've ever had! Great service too, and outdoor seating was plentiful.

This was a great short drive from Tallahassee. Wine Wednesday and great friends makes for a perfect dinner. The shepherds pie was good. The service was great. The staff very quick and helpful. I definitely recommend trying this place.

We have eaten there several times to try to support our local restaurants during the covid lockdown. Tonight we went and ordered nearly $60 worth of food. It took 45 minutes to get our food by which time I couldn’t sit in the hard metal chairs anymore so we sat outside on a softer chair. The waitress finally brought our food, it was good enough flavor, but 45 minutes after we’d ordered. After we paid our bill, leaving a $7.25 tip we were followed out to our car by the manager who told us he was sorry our food took so long and made an excuse for it and then said he was just looking out for his waitress and said it wasn’t right that we didn’t leave a tip! My husband said we’d left $7.25 and the manager said the waitress had said we didn’t leave anything. No matter how the food was it wasn’t worth $65. I just talked to the manager and was told that the waitress said there was only $60 in the book and that the whole staff said that every time we’ve been in there we’ve complained. Wow!!! Last time for that place. No thanks for trying to support a local restaurant!

This place needs more recognition! Locally owned and serves locally raised pork. Everything fried is Gluten after but you wouldn’t be able to tell. They also have vegan options. Great burger and pork belly. Plentiful portions with friendly staff. Take the dive and try Rev.

Friendly quick service! Clean rooms. Food is excellent! Pricing a little on the higher side, but quality food.

I've been wanting to come here since I saw they made their own pastrami so on a Wednesday after Goodwood's Got Game, I walked across the parking lot to give them a try. Yes, they now have evening hours. I arrived around 7 pm and it was pretty empty. I had one room all to my lonesome. I could hear another small group in another room. The restaurant is in a "cottage" on the Goodwood Plantation grounds. I ordered the pastrami on toasted rye. It comes with house made pickles and house made mustard on it. The side was some delicious shoestring fries. The sandwich had a good bit of pastrami on it but nothing like those piled high NY deli photos that you see. It was a tasty sandwich but at $16 for sandwich and fries I would expect more. I will come back to try other items on the menu but I think I'll stick to the pastrami reuben at Firehouse Subs for my pastrami fix. Lots cheaper and more tasty. Service was excellent and I had a great conversation with one of the chefs during my meal. Prices are a little higher than some but they are going to be so convenient after the monthly Goodwood's Got Game and there are more interesting menu options that I would love to try.

Very disappointed! Small portions, undercooked, or overcooked entres, pastrami was mooshy and too fatty, potato salad tasted worse than comissary brands. Can't understand the reviews?? Maybe just a bad day on our visit?

Very cool little café. We were really excited about trying this place out but they had limited hours for awhile. They are currently open for dinner so we decided to finally go. I am so glad we did! It's a very cool atmosphere, located in a historic building on the grounds of a plantation. Definitely a good choice for date night. Almost everything is gluten free! We started with the fried green tomatoes and they were probably the best ones I've ever had. I ordered the venison burger and my wife had the grits bowl. They were both out of this world delicious. I can't wait to go back and try one of everything. They have a very limited beer and wine menu but it's all good choices and mostly local stuff.

What a asset this restaurant is to Tallahassee. I'm so pumped to know they are open for dinner now! We ate here tonight and had a meal that literally could not have been better. The waitress was a doll! Alcohol was amazing the GLUTEN FREE fries tomafoes (Thanks for the tip Tim) were what dreams are made of and I had a phenomenal portobello grit bowl that I will dream of and my husband has the venison burger and dreamy fries. I can't wait to come back!!!

Beautiful location ... Rev Cafe is in a little, old house that belongs to the Goodwood Plantation. Nicely renovated and good parking. Essentially four or five rooms with 3-4 tables each (as far as I can remember). We had the pan seared redfish and the smoked gouda grits with mushrooms, kale, capers, etc. in a lemony sauce. The grits were very, very good. The fish was too dry. No wine or beer available. Service was good. Really a very nice lunch place. We will definitely come back for more grits.

I’m so sad I didn’t know about this hidden gem sooner! The food is amazing and fresh, the atmosphere is quaint, and the service was outstanding!
