Ate lunch here with my sister and nieces. I think it's been 20 years since I last ate at a steak and shake. Mostly due to not being local to one. There were some stark differences and nostalgic similarities from the restaurant I frequented many moons ago. The interior dining area was exactly as I remembered. That '50s diner feel. Quite nice. But up front, the restaurant has taken a leap into the present day with kiosks where you order everything yourself. Serve yourself drinks via qr code. And serve yourself when they call your name. If we hadn't ordered shakes, I don't think there would have been ANY interaction between the employees and us. (Except they did bring our shakes to the table). Odd experience, but my burger and cheese fries were on point!Dietary restrictions: They offer a "no bun" option

After waiting in line for 25 minutes (there's no way to exit the drive-thru, once your in line your stuck)! All I ordered was a vanilla shake and a root beer, which promptly was spilled all down my car door and me when it was handed to me. Not sure what's going on at steak n shake with the unreasonably long wait time but geeze, y'all really need to get it together!
