This Establishment is a complete fraud and the owner Shelby Lynn Gillis is a dishonest employer and crook who constantly promotes staffing issues as to why she cant be open ( if u doubt me check her facebook page business page and check for yourself.... what she doesnt tell her customers is she owes multiple employees MONEY I've been waiting going on 2 months now for money this establishment owes me not to mention a blue tooth speaker I bought prior to ever working there she refuses to pay me n n rather than be hokest she would rather lie and deceive her customers and for those that think u are getting fresh food i invite you to walk n her kitchen and establishment n check her freezer it is neber FRESH this owner should be stopped

I don't know if Covid plays a part in this so I'll give it 2 stars as opposed to 1. I called multiple times to place a take out order and got no answer, but I was on my way there so I checked to see if they were even open. They were- the original sign said open from 11:30, but a hand drawn sign said lunch at 12:15. It was 2ish. I called again from the parking lot and could see a young lady inside at the cash register closing out an tab for a couple of people. I called again as the couple left and she ignored the phone and walked to the back. I went inside and stood there for several minutes without being acknowledged, despite knowing she could see me as she glanced to the front when I walked in. While standing there the phone rang four times, all ignored. I can understand being overwhelmed but at that point you should either communicate with your guests or close down if you only have one employee to be server, chef and cashier. I left so I'll never know if the good ratings that brought me there were correct. I was visiting from out for town but plan to move here. Wish I had found a new seafood spot today.

Well I have visited a few times, I'm really trying to support this place but we made a visit today. The waitress just told us they were short-staffed which we understood that would be fine. I ordered a basket with catfish and fried grouper. First I don't understand why they never season their food I asked for well seasoned. Was not Seasons at all. And the grouper in the catfish taste exactly and look exactly the same hush puppies were just a big ball of mixture I couldn't taste any type of bread. I know she needs our support but they got to do better

One other table in there. Took an hour to get our food. Then the order was wrong. I wound up paying $22.99 for 7 shrimp. I could not get the waitresses to understand the mix up. We were hungry so we just ate it. I hear rave reviews on this place so we went…never again.
Highly rated locally. Tried it and won’t be back. Had to ask 3 times for more water. It took over an hour to get our food. Only one table of 6 in there. Our order was so messed up and the waitresses were not able to comprehend what was wrong with the order despite being slowly explained 3 times. I paid $22.99 for 7 shrimp before it was all over. There are other seafood places in Tallahassee. Try them out.

Used to eat there once a week, but it’s really gone down. The food isn’t as good with the current owner. Gotten rather dirty and junky too, We’ve gone twice when there was a crudely written sign on the door that they weren’t open. If they can’t handle the hours posted on the door, change them. Lunch seems to be a problem. Hate to see this happen, hope they can get their act back together soon.
