This is my favorite place for date nights with my wife in Tampa. She always get a filet mignon while I get a ribeye. We also order a bottle of cabernet sauvignon to enjoy with the steak. Married life is tough, especially with 3 children to take care of so I am very thankful for this place and their steak and wine.

Council Oak used to be great. I received tickets to Kevin James and decided to make a night of it by going to Council Oak for dinner. I have been to Council Oak a number of times and have loved it, so I was really looking forward to it. The biggest problem is it appears that ever since they opened up the no smoking casino Hard Rock does nothing to clean the air on the smoking side of the casino where Council Oak is located. As a result, if you are a nonsmoker, eating at Council Oak is incredibly unpleasant. They should warn you when you make a reservation that the place reeks of cigarette smoke. The second issue was the food was very mediocre and under seasoned. This was true of the onion soup, the steak tartare, and the baked potato. The Caesar salad was tasty, but the sweet dressing they put on it has very little in common with Caesar salad dressing. The staff, as always, was fantastic and was the only positive part of the experience. It’s really a shame I have to scratch Council Oak off my list of restaurants.

My husband and I were there this weekend to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary. First they gave us both a glass of Champagne. Was a great place to celebrate. The food was great, the service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was great. Loved being able to see everyone in the kitchen through the glass. Glad we celebrated there. Looking forward to going back for another celebration in the future. Thank you for making our night so memorable......

Worst customer service ever. Over all a bad experience. In my 30+ Years I had never been to such an unprofessional restaurant. We spent over $600 dollars and $100 in tip to be kicked out when there was no social disturbance from our part & tip already included in the receipt with no percentages for the tip. David the manager should be fired, super unprofessional and rude. Would never recommend this place.

Great food, wonderful service, and beautiful atmosphere. I loved being able to see the chefs through the glass and all the cuts on display at the entrance. The steak was cooked perfectly and all the sides were delicious. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely fabulous in every way. All praises for the top quality professionalism of every person on staff, especially our server Daniel. The food is incredible. We had the oysters and wagu steak and savored every bite. Absolutely the best oysters I’ve ever had so we came twice for them. I can’t recommend Council Oak enough. ?

I just had a $15 ribeye from Publix that had more flavor and was more tender than the $120.00 Long Bone at Council Oak, I orded it medium it came out rare, I sent it back and it came back very well done.My wife said here lobster tails texture weren't right.We've been many times since they've opened but we're done here!
