Restaurant still had a wait lists even it’s getting late at night. We already know what we want and made it easy to our waiter. He didn’t waste anytime to place our appetizer in order. We were surprised how our calamari came out so fast. We did not wait for so long. The only thing I’d noticed on eating the first bite was it didn’t feel fresh. I expected it should had been fresh, soft, and not rubbery. All things change when we all received and started eating our orders. The crab legs and shrimp was good. The chicken fingers were better than the recent ones my son had this week. The sirloin steak I had was very good. I thought I was eating at Fleming’s but for a lot less. I will be back and I will recommend this place.

Absolutely delicious food. My husband had cioppino and I had salmon Felix. Generous portion. Incredibly good. Service also good and fast. Relatively inexpensive too.

Service was wonderful!! Chowder and peel shrimp amazing!! Definitely worth the drive!! Will come again. Shrimp was hit with butter n seafood cocktail. Soup had wonderful flavors- secret recipe I’m sure. Landed here by accident coming again

My wife found this place on Trip Advisor. She was looking for the best seafood in Tampa and we found it at Shells. My wife eats shrimp when we travel on many occasions and Shells is among the best. She had a Lobster bisque cup and Shrimp pasta. Both were really great. I ordered Clam Chowder. I have had clam chowder at Pikes Seafood Market in Seattle, and Shells chowder is every bit as good! For my entree I had Fried Scallops with Mandarin slaw. The scallops were small and very fresh. Cooked perfectly. Even though they were small, there were wonderful morsels of flakey scallop meat. being fried they could have been greasy, but they were not. Maybe they were flash fried. Even the tea was full flavored and fresh brewed. If you are in Tampa looking for very fine and fresh seafood, Shells is your place. We have nothing like this in Arizona.

I had the best seafood that I ever had here! Shrimp, fish, clams and scallops. And a bunch of fried mushrooms. Absolutely delicious! The server did an outstanding job as well. Highly recommend this to anyone that loves seafood.

Stopped in after golf and we were very impressed with everything. Facility is very clean, the staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. A large abundance of special’s including food and drinks and our meals were great. I had the seafood pasta and it’s a “take home “ after you eat all you want portion. Overall a great experience.
We recently Went to shells restaurant for dinner upon arrival and reviewing the menu we noted that there is no crab lobster or other handsome face all mixed in with other dishes of the fish opportunities that they had most were out of stock or unavailable very limited menu to select from service is good the food was good that we did order but they really wanna change your picture and take the lobster off. Careful of the raw oysters the ones we recieved was border line bad had s after taste not normally experienced with raw oysters

Service was great but the food was way too salty. I had the steamed clams which were sweet and delicious but the broth and garlic bread were both over salted. Ditto for the entree. Ihad the cioppino The clams and shrimp were great but the scallops were over cooked and the broth was grossly over salted.

Shells Seafood Restaurant North Tampa on Fowler Avenue is a great place to go for quality seafood when you are hungry. I really like the different menu items and especially the crab legs. Everything here is delicious and fresh and tastes good. The staff here provides excellent service and makes sure that you are well taken care of.

We ate here on a recommendation of a friend. Service was excellent. Our waitress was Hannah. She answered all our questions food. was very good like others have said the clam chowder is a Don't Miss item on the menu. I had the shrimp with linguini, and my husband had the crabcakes. Bith meals are delicious and well prepared. We also had the house salad with raspberry vinegrette. I don't usually eat much salad, but I ate all if this one. It was delicious the croutons we were light, delicate and crispy. Very good. Patrons were seated far apart from each other due to covud. All staff wore a mask. We will be back. Thank you, Shelks, for a very nice experience.
