This is one of our favorite restaurants as it is an amazing spot to get Cuban food in Oldsmar. I personally love their empanadas but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

It breaks my heart to have to deduct stars for what was once a 5 star favorite of mine and one of the best Cuban restaurants that I’ve ever been to, but it simply isn’t the same. I’ve noticed for quite some time that I haven’t seen the original owners or the original chef. That leads me to believe that there has been a change of ownership and in the kitchen.Their masas de cerdo, my favorite meal, is now dry and lacking in flavor due to a lack of seasoning. Their black beans are also similarly bland and tasteless. I also ordered their mamey mango shake. Previously, it was simply delicious. Now, it has a very strange flavor to it. It doesn’t taste at all like mango. I didn’t like it in the least.Sad to say, but Cuban Foodies has fallen from elite status for me to the ranks of one of many mediocre Cuban restaurants in Tampa Bay.
