My boyfriend and I drove pretty far to this place because Tampa does not have a lot of vegan options. We got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with bbq cauliflower and the DHC bowl with chicken and fries. Both were super dry and had no flavor... the cauliflower was just mushy (felt like microwaved cauliflower) in a super sweet BBQ sauce. The fries were the best of the food we got, but honestly just not great. The bowl and chicken sandwich was just SO dry and Not flavorful. My boyfriend and I love to try vegan options (and are huge fans of Winter Park Biscuit Co in Orlando) and just have had WAY better vegan food before. This did not taste fresh or tasteful. There's no seasonings no vegan sauces.... Just gross sweet corn, sweet BBQ sauce, and unseasoned vegan chicken. Might I also add it was $40 for what we got.... I feel scammed and wish I could be refunded. I was so excited to eat the food & had such high expectations from online reviews and photos so I forgot to take a photo. Nevertheless, the staff was very kind and accommodating.

Went here with a friend of mine and was hesitant about wanting to go boy was I a fool, Food is fantastic!! I couldn't get enough. The staff was awesome as well, believe her name was Yani so funny and helpful, every time I'm in the area I will be coming back here!! Highly recommend regardless of what your food preferences are, you'll be surprised!!

Found this place via Yelp. I was craving some good local vegan food. After the spa, took a Lyft here for lunch. My plate was done within 10 minutes. No lines at all. Got a burger with some sort of creamy sauce and buffalo mac n cheese on the side. Damn, it was awesome! This place is located inside of a food hall. Had no idea until I arrived. Bunch of other food options too.

Its great when they have food! I had to visit 4 times before I got to try the fried green tomato sandwich, it was delicious! I brought my vegan mom on Mothers day, she was not able to try it because as usual it was sold out. Instead she had the hand made black bean burger and yucca fries at Hemingways and it was awesome. This is a great place they just need to make a bit more food, especially on holidays.

When my wife and I discovered the original Southern Dharma location in the Milk District of Orlando it was an incredible revelation. Whoa, Central Florida can produce vegan food on par with bigger cities. We'd make the drive to Orlando multiple times a year just to experience the food here. Needless to say we were stoked when a Tampa location was announced and opened. Thing is, the vegan scene has improved immensely in Tampa recently and this location of Southern Dharma just doesn't seem to live up to its predecessor or the other vegan restaurants in Tampa. For instance, during our last visit to Southern Dharma I ordered Nashville Hot Chicken. I expected a saucy chicken similar to other Nashville Hot's I've had around town. What I got, after a long wait, was a dry patty with little sauce and little spice. It was fine, ok, edible, but it wasn't the incredible sandwich I was imagining. This just sort of sums up most of my experiences at this location of Southern Dharma. It's fine, but not incredible. That being said, the location is top notch. Inside Armature Works with the Tampa Bay right out back, I am glad that Southern Dharma is here. Armature Works needs a vegan place. I just don't seek out Southern Dharma when I have an entire city to choose from. I only seek it out when I am at Armature Works.

We were so excited to try Dharma southern kitchen. It was good but I have some tips to make it better. The Nashville hot Chik'n was good but no very hot. Ask for hot sauce or bring your own. The Darma fried Chik'n ask for extra sauce. The sauce was amazing but without it the Chik'n was just bland.

This is a great spot for vegan comfort food when visiting Tampa. The food is delicious but very heavy. They have great burgers and sandwiches. Their mac & cheese is flavorful. Located in a fun establishment with lots of other restaurants and live music nearby. Staff was kind and helpful. My only suggestion would be to create a lighter option with more veggies as well.

I havent been back here since the pandemic started and took notice that it now has a more limited menu, but nonetheless was eager to come back here, remembering sone of the tastiest vegan eats I've ever had. Even though they didnt have my usual faves, the TLT and the bbq jackfruit, i was willing to try something else. Luckily for me that something else held a candle to my older faves. I got the Orange Bird sandwich and had it with a side of their bbq cauliflower since it was recommended. It was incredibly delicious, though very messy, like most things in life worth eating. You would easily forget that this is vegan. The sandwich was a tender pile of vegan chicken smothered in orange glazed bbq sauce, topped with coleslaw, and wedged between the ends of a soft bun. I was surprised that i really loved the cauliflower side since I actually hate cauliflower. It was well coated in a bbq sauce that was pretty spicy, but i was able to wash it down with some Liquid Death (sparkling water, haha). Glad to find a new fave and i look forward to having this again!

Small portions especially for the price. Out of biscuits and 3 of the 7 mains. Disappointing. Service ok.

This review is for their BBQ CAULIFLOWER only. I am vegetarian, so love it when I get to try a different take on veggies. I have seen a lot of restaurants serve broccoli but cauliflower isn't that common, and that made me super excited to try it. EXPECTATION - roasted cauliflower with some nice bbq seasonings topped with a lovely glaze of bbq sauce. REALITY - what we got was a saucy mush of cauliflower, submerged in this overly sweet sauce that did not have much of a bbq flavor. Some pieces of cauliflower were raw, some almost disintegrated into the sauce and a few tasted cooked. The sauce was so sweet that it can almost be a dessert. There was hardly any BBQ flavor to it. Super disappointing.

We arrived for a late dinner, sadly they were out of both chicken sandwiches-- they currently don't have an oven there to make them and these are cooked off site. The burger was delicious, the DFC bowl was very underwhelming. Both were overpriced as most items in this food hall. Very disappointed overall.

Food is waaaay over rated guys. It was luke warm, some of it was soggy. Clearly had been made hours earlier and sitting under a warmer. Some of it seemed maybe microwaved? Souther food generally is characterized by flavor … something that was clearly lacking here as well. For the price you can definitely do better almost anywhere else.

Digged into my garlic Mac n Cheese, took a nice bite despite its nasty looking appearance for it to be ICE COLD. My bf went up there because I wasn't in the mind to even talk to someone about this. It was actually cold to the touch from the exterior of the container which I didn't even realize at first because I was so eager to try. The ladies excuse was they just opened - idk what time they open but this was at like 11:30 and it's not an excuse. I was literally traumatized - they warmed it up but I just threw it out. My bf said he can't believe that touched my lips lol who wants to bite into ICE COLD MAC & CHEESE? The Nashville Hawt was more like a Nashville Nawt. No hint of spice, pickles seemed brined in water - no flavor & slaw was like paper. The actual chick'n was well executed and bun was buttery which is why I give 2 stars but overall missed the mark. Sucks because I was soooo excited to try this place my mouth was drooling at the menu / photos and loved their stands decor - someone on their marketing team is A1 but the food - major thumbs down from me.
