Food isn’t served hot, which with a place this small and no business that shouldn’t be hard to do. Enchiladas are bland, no flavor. The carne asadas were good, but it was still missing flavor. Rice seems more like couscous. Place is not clean at all; dirty everywhere. I don’t know how they haven’t been shutdown by the health department. Very pricey for 3 people. Overall, not impressed and I will not be coming back. ;)

Me and my wife love this spot. We frequent at least once a month. Prices are great and portions are big and flavorful. Have sent several of our friends here and theyve had nothing but good things to say. Will keep coming back dont change a thing

Oh my goodness the food was so good. We had the Don Juilo's Sampler and it was so big! The Quesavirria Tacos were so good!Worth every penny! 10/10 Will eat again!

I wish there was a way to leave a negative -1!!! Ordered a bowl, told him everything I wanted in it. Thought he understood me ? guess not. Ordered my son a kids meal, thought he understood me ?️ guess not ? charged me for cheese,lettuce and sour cream for my son’s taco!!! I just spent $33 on food we DIDNT EAT!!!! It was all wrong! I want my money back, but there is no manager Friday night at 6pm?!?!?! You cannot be serious that I have to take my kids out for MORE food bc everything you served us was wrong???? Where is your manager??? Shame on you Don Julio’s I will make sure to tell everyone NOT to come here unless you are Spanish speaking ?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️ I want my money back ?️?️?️?️?️?️Not to mention the LEAF my son bit into ? I cannot believe people pay for this

The rice was hard and cold. The cook clearly forgot to add seasoning. The wraps tasted cheap. The veggies were undercooked. Truly a waste of my money. This is the first and last time I will be eating from this restaurant.

The tacos are not good. The desert called fresas con crema is literally just yogurt. Can you believe it? They are selling yogurt, how ridiculous is that. I gave it to my cat and my cat didn't even finish it. Take that for what it is worth. Anyways, here is more to the review. The restaurant is small and to make things worse, the wait time for the bad tacos is even worse. 30 minutes for 3 tacos and some yogurt. Can you believe it? Also, one of my friends said the vegetarian taco that we ordered tasted like it had egg in it. That means nothing to me, but if you're vegetarian then it will mean something to you. I will not be coming back. Adios
We came to Don Julio's for dinner and it was great. The food was delicious, servers were so nice and welcoming, and it was a nice small, intimate setting. i'd recommend it for a small group of friends wanting to go out for food!

Don't waste your money! There are plenty of better Mexican restaurants in the Tampa area.My friend and I were craving Mexican food and couldn't wait to go there after our hospital shift was over. It's true, Nurse's love food!My shrimp taco contained zero shrimp. It was just a taco shell and lettuce. My fish taco had a tiny piece of fish. No tomato, no sour cream, onion...nothing. It was so bland. How does a Mexican restaurant screw up a taco? We ordered guacamole as an appetizer. It was so bland, nothing but mashed avacodo.The rice was pretty good.The margaritas were very good but if the food sucks, why bother. Just order at the drive thru of Taco Bell and save yourself $50.Update: I talked with the friend I went there with and she also found the food underwhelming. She said her taco was also bland and had very little meat. Since this was our first time going out together neither one of us wanted to complain to the other about the food.

It's a small place. I was expecting the Don Julio the chain restaurant. Same name but different experience. One-word description would me l be "Meh". It's ok not bad not great, decent. If you not from Tampa skip Mexican for Cubano food. I had the steak fajita w corn tortilla which was good. Their guac tasted fresh and the tortillas were not stale.

I literally want to make myself vomit after trying this place. Velveeta melted "queso," Dried, gas station taquitos and microwaved enchiladas. Wouldn't even recommend this place to anyone.
