First of all I like to say this establishment is just the best, this being a regular place me and my family frequent. The food is just amazing from the simple edamame to the signature rolls, it all meets the flavors anyone could be searching for.

I like the ambiance of this spot! It feels very Seminole Heights as it is in an old home and the size of the restaurant is small. There is a parking lot on the side and back of the house. I ordered a hot green tea that came with free refills. I enjoyed the Godzilla roll the most! It was delicious and definitely the stand out roll. The Negihama roll was my least favorite as it didn't taste as fresh and lack flavor from the fish.

This has been recommended to try, as I have a local spot that is my go to. Tried it out to see what the hype was about. I was disappointed to see they didn't offer escolar (white tuna, as that is my go to nigiri order). However the Red Dragon roll was delicious. My BF had the Salmon Groove, which he thought was decent, but they did not include ginger or wasabi for his dish. The ambiance wasn't terrible but we were placed directly under a speaker, so it was hard to hear each other. We had some miscommunications with our waitress, but she cleared them up without incident. Overall not bad, but I don't think it will replace my go to spot anytime soon.

Came to Ebisu as a last minute dinner spot after bowling. We showed up 45 min before closing with 6 of us - we were sat right away & greeted with waters! We put in drink orders and appetizers - house salads & miso soups. It was fresh and the perfect size for an appetizer. The crab rangoons were warm and crunchy and paired with a sweet chili Thai that was a perfect combo! Once we ordered sushi rolls, they were made in under 10 minutes - the fish tasted fresh and the waitress was very helpful with extra sauces and requests. Not badly priced either! Will definitely be back here!

I definitely have enjoyed this place the two times that I’ve been. The place is pretty small, but the food is really good. There’s not much to the place, but you don’t go there for the atmosphere, you definitely go for the food. The last time we were there, we parked on the street in front of a house. It was a little weird because the manager came over and said that we were about to get towed, which is insane because street parking is completely legal in Tampa as long as there’s no “no parking” signs set up by the city. You’re not allowed to keep people from parking in front of your house, but the manager made it clear that we would need to move our vehicles. It felt strange like either the manager lived behind the restaurant or that the manager was friends with those people and just made a point to scare the customers into moving their vehicles. Either way it felt really strange and I don’t know that I would come back after that. it’s one thing if you try to make the neighbors, happy as a business owner, but playing it off like we were going to get towed just felt awful. We had to literally leave all of our food and drinks on the table and go move our vehicle, because we were afraid of his threats. Hopefully nothing happened to our food and drinks while we stepped out.

Delicious salmon don, spicy tuna roll, and salmon roll! Happy to find more sashimi don places here in Tampa! Cozy and casual atmosphere. I would definitely come againOne weird thing was that we got carded for beer, then got told “you’re too young to drink!” We thought she was joking at first, but then realized she was serious when we didn’t receive the beer. We’ve been over 21 for a few years already lolOther than that odd interaction, everything was great. I still rate it 5 stars!

This review is a non-star.Walking around in my neighborhood, Came in on a wed night 6pm, sat at the front bar, said hello to server and ask for a menu, lady preparing food ask if I was dining in or out (no greetings).15 mins later one of the prepare food guys said hello! (Great they starting to acknowledge me)About 10 patrons arrived after me and immediately got greetings, seated and menus, and subsequently served. The place was full after 30 mins, so I spoke to the person preparing out orders and explained my experience then walked!I don’t want to judge but I was the only black person inside. Not calling it racism, but remember this is planet earth and can’t never be ruled out.
