It is one of my favorite spots in the Carrollwood area, but this time it has to be a four. They have too many "Grandma" dishes, so make sure the waiter hears you as to exactly which one you want through all the noise. I received the wrong one. My daughter ordered the lasagna and she could not get passed the first couple of bites, as it was dry and didn't have any flavor. The lobster ravioli at least was the hit of the table. They are better than the Olive Garden for sure, but we were let down this last visit. Maybe next time is a five.

The vodka sauce on the rigatoni taste different. Something was missing, it did not taste as delicious as it has in the past.The salad and bread were very tasty. My son had the veal with Gorgonzola cheese, said it was delicious.

Being a NJ transplant, we value not only good Italian food but also the kindness and service that comes with it. Too often these mom and pop shops that have a good legacy get ruined by the next owner. It’s just a shame that the next owner/manager is family in this place. Honestly it should have scared me away by the length of the menu or from the scattered brained staff but still it seemed authentic as far as a NJ place goes. From one local business to a review of another: RUN.We ordered drinks at the bar, which honestly needs an updated menu and then grabbed a seat at one of the bar tables behind. Wait staff initially was responsive but as the night went on and the restaurant emptied out a bit, it got worse. People who came in later got served bread and salad before us with no explanation even though we put our order in immediately when we sat down. Bread good, salad basic, but put enough oil and garlic on bread people will eat it stale. 30 minutes pass and still no update on the food. 10 more minutes pass and then the waiter explains there was an issue with just our order and the computer system but they are going to rush it. So we ordered another drink to pass the time. 10 minutes pass, no drink or food. Finally after an hour the drink and food come out together but instead we ask to get the check and boxes to go. It was the wrong order and missing things too. A guy in a half suit comes by and complains that we have been the only problem the entire night in the entire restaurant when all we asked about was our order. Ironic, since when we arrived someone was being carried out by an ambulance. We explain and show the time we sat down and ordered and the time it was then, when our food arrived. He then made a fool of himself not knowing how to calculate an hour. Clearly the same time schedule the kitchen runs on. Arrogant as can be, he said I don’t need your money and took our plates and told us to leave. We were calm, cool, and collected the entirety of the interaction, while he created a scene in the front of the restaurant. Mom and dad should be embarrassed.
This place is the worst place to go for dinner.The service is terrible.We got there and waited for our food 1 hour, the food finally came and we talked with this guy that seemed like the owner or manager and was a DH.He said “you are the only ones that had a problem here so you are not taking anything home and leave.”He kicked us out, humiliated us, shouted at us in front of everyone there and we didn’t do a thing other than tell him our food took an hour to come. When I started filming him because his behavior was not acceptable he took the plates and left us speechless.I wouldn’t recommend this place ever. Not worth it. It is sad all the parents effort will go to the trash for having a son manage their business like this.I’m Italian.. it’s insulting to have a clown like this managing a restaurant representing my country…

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. The owner or manager for the evening always goes to each table to check on everything and check if you’re happy with everything!
Owner Paul is always treating the employees like slave labor this restaurant should be closed down.Dirty restrooms and I accidentally went in the wrong door, which was to the kitchen and it was filthy. Health department should be notified also.After I heard how the owners talked to the employees they should be sued for verbal abuse.Cannot believe what these employees have to deal with on a daily basis from the owners of this restaurant. Customers should boycott this restaurant if you’ve heard what I’ve heard, you would never go back again no matter how good the food might be.
