Showed up to address and location did not exist! Called number on open table which was for a disconnected line. Google maps shows that the restaurant existed on Howard which was South Tampa so I called the number google provided and there was continuous ringing and nobody answered the phone. I concluded that the restaurant has been closed down and maybe they had moved locations at one point. Still not sure?

Enjoyed a yummy lunch here of eggplant parmigiana and salad. The sauce was amazing on warm and slightly crusty Italian bread and the dressing on the salad was perfect mixed. Didn't have time for dessert but my plan next time is coffee and gelato. Don't pass this one by!!!

The star ratings may be inaccurate, but I felt that this information needed to be available to potential patrons. I made a reservation for my son and his girlfriend for Valentine's Day. The reviews were good but unfortunately misleading. According to my son, this is not a restaurant. It's a pizzeria. They were so disappointed that they just left. Why a place like this would need to be on opentable is beyond me. Reservations are not needed. I guess there are no criteria for being listed as a restaurant.

I felt like I was in an episode of Fawlty Towers. We kept wondering where the staff were disappearing too all at the same time - it was bizarre. The plus side, nice and cozy, good pesto and gelato, the not so plus side - need some work with service.

We started with a lovely special of meats, cheeses and 4 different wine tastings. Then we had their specials, chicken parmesan and lasagne. Both were authentic to me as I am an Italian and I am pretty critical of Italian food. The coffee was outstanding, the prices are very reasonable. This place is like being in Italy in a small Cafe. You can even stop in for gelato, many flavors to choose from. We love this place and consider it a neighborhood gem!

The pizzas were good but service was terrible. It was very slow and unprofessional. I understand this is a local small restaurant. Our waitress was dressed in her volleyball outfit (probably just got out of her game), not the most pleasant thing if you think about all the sweats. She was extremely slow and looked like she didn't want to be there. The food came out close to 45 minutes after ordering. I wouldn't come back due to the bad service.

We just visited Genuino for the first time. Genuino is an authentic Italian cafe, just like in Italy! The owner Giuseppe is very friendly, personable & takes pride in his home cooking. Whether you would like an espresso, gelato & desserts or a wonderful Italian lunch or dinner, you must try Genuino, a neighborhood gem.

The food was over-the-top delicious. It was honestly the best Italian food I've had in forever. You must go there and make sure you meet Giuseppe The owner and chef. Amazing place amazing food!

Food was excellent but the service was horrible. We waited almost an hour for our food and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The owner is great but was gone when we arrived and the rest of the staff can't do anything without him apparently.

Pesto pasta was scrumptious! My husband had the chicken parmigiana, it was delicious. Chicken was so tender. They take their time to prepare the food but it's totally worth the wait.

My family and I enjoyed superb dining at Genuino Italian cafe. Dishes are deliciously authentic, the wine was wonderful (nice to find they had a tasty Nero d'avola) and we enjoyed gelato for dessert. Our new neighborhood favorite!

The pesto is tasty, the pizza was good and the handmade gelato was terrific. Also love their Italian coffee., and you can purchase beans there. We are hearing great things about their lasagne and Eileen have to try that next time.

This was our 2nd time there, but 1st for dinner. The food was fantastic! Fresh tasting and authentic. The service needs some major improvement. They told us they were short-handed, but we waited quite a while and our 2 entrees were delivered at different times. Gelato is wonderful! We'll be back, but not on a weekend night.

The specials are deliciously authentic. I had the carbonara, my friend had chicken parmigiana- both were delicious. Finished our meal with espresso. We will definitely be back - a true neighborhood gem!

At the recommendation of 1 of my students, my Italian students and I met here for a social get together. The owner/cook & his daughter could not have been nicer. They even provided wine glasses since a student brought Italian wine to have w. our dinner. (They did tell us that they will be selling wine in another week). Couple of us had delicious homemade gnocchi. Others had pasta or pizza, another had a huge salad w. tuna. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we finished it w. a gelato (also homemade). The cafe is small but intimate. The menu is somewhat limited but every dish is made to order & very good.
