This is my new favorite bar in tampa. It is one of the few bar bars in town which is great since I am tired of all the trendy places with spicy charcoal margaritas for $20. This is a great place to sit down with friends have a beer and watch the game.

I have been going to the Green parrot Since 1986. It's the parrot. It's still there and that means something in this world. The longevity speaks for itself.Parking: You might have to walk from the shopping center next-door. I usually get a spot right up front because I'm there early.?

I can’t speak for the food but this was a nice little place we stumbled across on a Saturday night and enjoyed. It’s a fairly large space with a lot of bar space and a couple of tables inside along with another bar and covered patio outside. They have a couple of pool tables and electronic dartboards and a stage for live music, though there wasn’t music while we were there. Nice spot to grab a beer and play a game.
Stopped by for lunch and this place was a good choice. Had the fish and chips and I was not disappointed. Beth fried my fish to perfection. Tony the bartender was super nice and very attentive.

Green Parrot: My favorite neighborhood tiki barI grew up in Tampa and know the area very well. Green Parrot is very close to my home, so it is a convenient place for me to go hang out and relax. I’ve made a lot of friends there over the years, and am now compelled to write a review after a recent positive experience, and here is why:1. Location: Even though Dale Mabry is a busy street, the bar is very conveniently located and where it is in the parking lot is not close to the street, so when you’re outside you’re not constantly hearing cars go by.2. Drink Specials: they offer pitchers of beer as well as buckets, so it is a good way to get more bang for your buck.3. Friendly Staff: I have seen a lot of bartenders come and go, but the current staff is probably the best I’ve ever seen, when I recently got some upsetting news, everybody rushed to make sure that I was okay and genuinely cared about how I was doing. I would like to give a special shout out to Britt, she is the most attentive and such a caring person. The first time I met her, a guy that I knew kept trying to put his drinks on my tab and she would not allow him to without my permission. She also protects peoples drinks if they leave them unattended, has paid for Uber rides for people to get home safely with her own money, and is constantly aware of her surroundings. I always feel safe when Britt is working, and I know a lot of the other regulars feel the same way.4. Outdoor Seating: probably the best part about the bar is the outdoor patio. There’s a lot of TVs surrounding it and it’s just nice to have a beer outside and a nicely shaded areaConstructive Feedback: the food is always amazing, but the kitchen hours are very inconsistent. There’s always food in the daytime, but at night it’s very hit or miss. I’d also like to see more fun events like live music or karaoke, they have it occasionally.Overall, Green Parrot is a hidden gem of a neighborhood bar, where the staff is friendly, the wings are amazing, and the friends I have met along the way are great. There’s a reason why I come here to unwind almost every weekend, it’s because I genuinely feel like family.
