Gotta love an empanada! First time at this particular store. As usual these little tasty pastry stuffed pies are AWESOME!! My go to is the spinach, artichoke and cheese. Soooo good. Then I usually get a beef and cheese. The Apple ones are great for a dessert. We always overbuy!! But thrown them in your toaster oven and they come out perfectly. They even puff up a bit! If you have never tried an empanada, then you need to run to this place, choose your favorite flavor and enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to get extras to warm up at home for another tasty meal!

Treat yourself to a small in size but big in flavor empanada. It's a pastry pie fried to perfection but never greasy filled with a wide selection of fillings. My favorite is the spinach, artichoke and cheese. Italian sausage and cheese is a close second. Three locations, South St off of Lois near the airport, downtown on Kennedy and on Armenia. All locations are clean and well staffed with always friendly people. We buy extra and reheat them in our toaster oven, they reheat great. Try them.

After eating in Colombia for over two weeks I can safely say that this place has some of the best empanadas in Colombia!!!! From Bogota to Villavicencio to Cali! This truly reminds me of proper empanadas made fresh. 100% worth it and worth the stop

Excellent choice for a Tampa food staple. Empanadas as fresh as they get, sandwiches, soups and salads. Had no idea how many flavors of empanadas there were and after two trips I've almost tried them all. Beef and cheese is my go to for sure. Awesome little spot to eat.

Amazing little place that you'd miss if you didn't know it was there. Wonderful empanadas, fresh cooked and just the perfect spice level. Colleague had a Cuban sandwich and said it was excellent. Great place to grab lunch in the middle of the workday.

Me and my family love Mr Empanadas the food is delicious my favorite is spinach and artichoke cheese and my hubby loves the crab meat and cheese and our daughter loves the beef and cheese this place is very nice and the employees are very nice and polite and the food is banging I always recommend this place Mr. Empanadas

I've been doing a job near by, after three months of wanting to go, finally did! Wasn't disappointed @ all. Like the selection. Food was hot and freshly made. I'll definitely be back. Thanks again to the friendly staff.

The beef and cheese empanada was great!! The salad was also very tasty (one of my fav salads like this in all of Tampa). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Affordable prices. Will definitely be back.

Ok so I totally understand we are in the middle of a very uncertain time right now and a lot of extra extra precautions are being taken to prevent additional spread of a particular virus, however I just went in Mr empanadas and after placing my to-go order they asked me to wait outside as well as any other customers coming in because of attempts to prevent spread which again I totally get however what's the point of staying open if you're going to be even extra awkward and ask your guests to wait outside for their food. In my opinion I would just close down the damn shop to be honest. I haven't even eaten my Empanada yet I hope it's really good. the last mr. Empanadas I went to I wanted to give a five star review but I didn't leave a review because I didn't have a picture so I won't even bother to take a picture today since I'm waiting outside for one single empanada. EDIT: I want to add, I called before I even drove to the restaurant to ask if they were open. I asked 2 questions and in no part of the conversation did the person that I was speaking to mention they were doing to go only orders and not one peep about sending people outside to wait for their food. I'm pretty sure that was NOT a CDC recommendation, sending people outside to wait. Considering all this, the person answering the phone should have relayed this info!!
Mr. Empanada is great! When I walked in, I was greeted by the kind staff in the kitchen and at the register. The food was great also. The staff and food each deserve their own 5 Star Rating. The cuban sandwich was so tasty and the flavors mixed nicely. The crispiness of my empanadas along with their warm taste made my lunch here a great one. Everyone needs to try Mr. Empanada!

I EVENTUALLY PLACED AN ORDER AND WHEN I WENT IN TO PICK UP 15 MIN LATER SHE WAS IN THE LOBBY YELLING AT WHOEVER LISTED HER PERSONAL NUMBER. Best Cuban sandwich in town. The empanadas, Spanish bean soup & devil crabs are great also. I have been eating here for years and pick up for work, home & other office employees. The staff is very friendly. Love this place!!! You will not be disappointed.

Large order placed about $100 and everything was burnt/ over cooked. Called manager all we got in return was , it was our fault for picking up the order 20 min late.
