During a trip to Tampa, me and a couple coaches went to Oystercatcher for Sunday brunch. I heard good things about this restaurant and was excited to try the food. Everything was delicious. Oysters were fire. I also got the Biscuit Sandwich wish was my favorite dish. We ate outside and although the weather was great there were these little bugs that were everywhere. I was not the a fan but endured. We requested a pastry basket that came out before our meal. It was delicious.

Nice secluded location on Tampa Bay near the airport

I ordered a mac 'n cheese side and it was instead delivered as an appetizer for the entire table. So I didn't get much of it. We were there for a bday and there was a key lime pie served for the table and I dislike that dessert, for whatever reason the server disappeared immediately after it was served. I hate keylime pie and wanted a different dessert. It wasn't until after everyone ate that the dessert that the menu made an appearance. Not a great overall experience for a 5 star restaurant.

They had a person playing the piano, but the noise was so loud you could not hear it. The lobster bisque was very bland. Did not have any sherry available to spice it up. The suggested cocktail the waiter. Made was too spicy. Yeah I said spicy I should've known better. All in all I was hoping to experience a 49th anniversary meal with my wife, but they had all types of people wearing all types of clothes at the place. I would not suggest this for a nice night out if you just want to just come in shorts and everything it would be OK with them. Not my type of place. Make sure I see it sure person played the piano with the noise level but the noise level.

Over a decade ago, I was a regular business visitor at the Grand Hyatt Tampa and often ate at Oystercatchers. This time, as a part of a trip with my wife, we reserved another dinner here. It was fabulous — as good as, if not better than, the great meals I'd had years before. It is wonderful to know that some old experiences can be enjoyed again! Highlights were the grilled octopus, the red snapper, and the key lime pie.

Was in town for a conference and had a great lunch. Enjoyed the outdoor seating on the water and the food and service was great.

It was an absolutely beautiful view for my out of town colleagues. Both of our servers were so attentive. Everything we ordered on the menu was just perfect, great flavor and beautiful dishes! Thank you for a great experience

Outdoor fans made the area less comfortable. Waiter was overloaded. Food was fabulous.

We had a lovely meal by the bay. Regrettably, the sun has already set. Our server, Donald, was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The other supporting staff were also professional and attentive in making sure our service was praised worthy.

I wasn’t too impressed with the food at all. Overpriced for the quality. Had the fried snapper and it had some weird vein in it. Lost my appetite. Calamari wasn’t that flavorful. For the price i expected better tasting food. My brother got the grouper. He thought it was just ok.

Soup was cold when served. Chilean sea Bass was dry and flaky like it was a frozen piece of fish. Shrimp was overdone and rubbery. Finally , we had to send back our steak because the first piece was inedible. The management did bring out a new steak, but one person in our party had to eat alone. The ambiance was cold and the overall experience was disappointing.

We began our evening outside with drinks while waiting for our company to join us. I had the Faust Cabernet. It was a lovely start. The view is spectacular and atmosphere is lovely. Once inside the restaurant, we sat at a table for four and again had a lovely view of the sunset. Spectacular! My husband enjoyed the sea bass; I had the scallops; and our guest had the octopus which was tender and tasty (not a favorite choice of mine BUT this is definitely the venue to try octopus. We had it in Italy and it was great there too. Just not a favorite... fight the image in my head). For sides, we had: the Brussel sprouts, incredible!! the Mac and cheese (5 cheeses), delicious! the truffle fries, yummy!! and polenta worth mushrooms, fabulous!!We finished the evening with Florida Key Lime Pie and Vanilla Creme Brulee. I preferred the Creme Brulee. It's lighter and just what was needed at the end of our meal. The dining room was a tad louder than I would have hoped for such a lovely venue. The bar was steps away and tables are quite close.Having said that, the ambience was perfect for the three of us. We had lovely conversation and great food with wonderful company. Can't beat that!!I would have rated the atmosphere 4.5 which rounds up to a 5 star review.
