In Tampa for work staying Downtown, walked in and my chicken pita was AMAZING. Abdul was really nice and welcoming. I didn't eat it until I got back to my hotel room, was so tempted to walk back and get another. Food was fresh and chicken was not dry and well seasoned. My go to whenever I'm in Tampa from now on.

I often eat at a few middle eastern restaurants downtown but decided to try this since it was cheaper, BIG MISTAKE! If you are a lover of middle eastern or Greek food, DO NOT ORDER!I’m very confused reading the reviews of this place, no one is talking about the extreme low quality of this food. It was disgusting! I ordered $30 of food and could hardly get down a bite. The yogurt in the tziki has a gross fat free chemical taste to it. No flavor or spice in any of the food, dry hummus, meat, falafel, vegetables are even flavorless besides no proper spices. Great dishonor!

Although I oftentimes bring my own lunch to work, Pita's Republic on Madison St., in Downtown Tampa has become a 'go to' place for take-out lunch. My order of choice is the Mediterranean Platter with Gyro meat. Included, in addition to the Gyro, is seasoned rice, Hummus, Tabouli with Tzatziki Sauce. With tax, the order cost $12.95 before gratuity. There are two employees and service is quick. The restaurant has booth seating for approx. 20 persons (4 to a booth).
